Group B was one of eight groups of the preliminary round of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. It took place from 26 to 30 August 2023 and consisted of South Sudan, Serbia, China, and Puerto Rico. [1] [2] Each team played each other once, for a total of three games per team, with all games played at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. The top two teams advanced to the second round and the bottom two teams qualified for the classification rounds. [3]

Each team played each other once, for a total of three games per team, with all games played at Guangzhou Gymnasium, Guangzhou. After all of the games were played, the top two teams with the best records qualified for the Second round and the bottom two teams played in the Classification Round.
Group J of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the second stage of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup for four teams, top two teams from Group C and two from Group D. The results of round one were carried over. The teams played against the teams from the group they have not faced before, for a total of two games per team, with all games played at Wuhan Gymnasium, Wuhan. After all of the games were played, the top two teams advanced to Quarter-finals, the third placed team was classified 9 to 12 and the fourth placed team 13 to 16.
The 2019 Serbia FIBA Basketball World Cup team represented Serbia at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup in China. Serbia finished the tournament in fifth place with a 6–2 record and qualified for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Group M was one of four groups of the classification round of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. It took place from 31 August to 2 September 2023 and consisted of the bottom-two teams from Groups A and B. The results from the preliminary round were carried over. The teams played against the teams from the other group, with all games played at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. The first placed team was classified 17 to 20, the second placed team 21 to 24, the third placed team 25 to 28 and the fourth placed team 29 to 32.
The final round was the knockout stage of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. It took place from 5 to 10 September 2023 and consisted of the top-two teams from Groups I, J, K and L. The round was played in a single-elimination tournament, with all games played at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Philippines. The quarterfinal losers will be relegated to the classification stage for places 5 to 8.
The 2023 Serbia FIBA Basketball World Cup team will represent Serbia at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.
