The 2023 FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship was an international under-16 basketball tournament that was held from 10 to 16 July 2023 in Amman, Jordan. [1]

Contents

The seventh edition of the biennial competition, this was also the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia in the 2024 FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup in Mexico. [2]

The 2023 FIBA AfroCan was the 2nd edition of the FIBA AfroCan. The tournament was held from 8 July to 16 July 2023 and was be hosted in Angola. DR Congo are the defending champions, having won the 2019 title. The second tournament was supposed to be held in 2021, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
