The 2023 Island Wide League is the 2023 season of the FAS Island Wide League (IWL), the fourth-tier amateur football league in Singapore. [1] At the conclusion of the 2023 season, the two finalists of the IWL shall be promoted to the Singapore Football League (SFL) Division Two for 2024 season. [2]

On 5 September 2023, Simei United filed a protest against an opponent for fielding an ineligible player to the Football Association of Singapore (FAS). The protests was eventually dismissed as it was filed after 48 hours from the match on 19 August 2023. [1]

Bedok South Avenue won the 2023 IWL title by beating Tengah FC 2–1 in the final on 2 October 2023 at Jalan Besar Stadium. As the top two teams in the league, both Bedok South Avenue SC and Tengah FC will be promoted to the FAS SFL 2 for 2024 season. [3]

2023 IWL runners-up Tengah FC are bidding to become the 10th Singapore Premier League club for the 2024/25 season. [4]

Competition Format

The IWL competition shall be played on a single round robin Group Stage basis, followed by a single leg Knockout Stage basis. [2]

Teams have been split into five groups of four for the single round-robin group stage before the winner of each group, together with the three best second-placed teams, will proceed to the single-legged knock-out stage.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is the governing body responsible for the administration of football in Singapore. The 2018 National Football League is the 44th season of the National Football League (NFL).

The 2019 season is Geylang International's 24th consecutive season in the top flight of Singapore football and in the Singapore Premier League. Along with the Singapore Premier League, the club will also compete in the Singapore Cup.

The 2022 season is Lion City Sailors' 27th consecutive season in the top flight of Singapore football and in the Singapore Premier League. They played in the 2022 AFC Champions League, which marked their 3rd appearance at the competition, and their 1st ACL Group Stage appearance.

The 2022 season was Tanjong Pagar United FC's 17th season at the top level of Singapore football. The club also competed in the Singapore Cup, going out in the group stage.
