The 2023 Myanmar National League Two, is the 11th season of the MNL-2, the second division league for association football clubs since its founding in 2012.
It has been decided to hold the MNL2 league with a total of ten teams. In the league includes the MFF's youth team called Junior Lions and nine other clubs. [1]
After the end of 2023 MNL-2, Thitsar Arman became a first time ever champion in their history. And MNL-2 becomes the New champion. 2022 MNL Champion University finished at 2nd place. Thitsar Arman and University will promote to 2024 Myanmar National League. If University does not pass the MNL criteria, Port FC is promoted to 2024 Myanmar National League. Mawyawadi FC and Golden Grit relegated to Myanmar Amateur League.
After the MNL 2 meeting, it was decided that 10 teams will participate in the league. For this to happen, there were multiple clubs created this year. From the 2022 season, there are three clubs. Defending champions University were unable to be promoted so they continue playing in MNL-2, and Mawyawadi who failed to gain promotion to the first tier. Junior Lions is a team consisting of players under the age of 18, and as a club based in MFF, they are also unable to be promoted.
One club returned after an absence from the 2022 season. Silver Stars made their return to the MNL-2, after not appearing in the 2022 MNL-2. Newly founded clubs were Glory Goal, Shwe Pyi Thar, Port, Golden Grit and Thitsar Arman FC. Rakhapura United made its return as well but as the affiliate club of MNL team Rakhine United.

The Myanmar National League; abbreviated MNL) is the premier national professional football league of Myanmar. In 2009, the league replaced the Myanmar Premier League, which consisted only of 14 Yangon-based football clubs, with eight professional clubs representing different regions across the nation. On 16 May 2009, the league launched its inaugural two-month tournament, the Myanmar National League Cup 2009 in preparation for the first full season in 2010. Despite its national ambitions, the league held the MNL Cup 2009 matches in the country's two main stadiums in Yangon due to the lack of adequate facilities elsewhere. On 5 July 2009, Yadanabon FC defeated Yangon United FC in the MNL Cup final to become the first-ever MNL Champions.
The 2013 Myanmar National League season was the 4th edition of Myanmar National League. The fixture schedule was released on third weeks of December 2012. The season began on 5 January 2013 and ended on 25 August 2013. At the end of the 2013 season, the top two teams from the MNL-2 New Holland League were promoted to the MNL while the two bottom teams from the MNL were relegated to the MNL-2.
The MNL-2 is the second-tier football league of Myanmar. The official name is MNL-2 League. The inaugural season began in 2013.
The 2013 MNL-2 New Holland League is the inaugural MNL-2 season which began on 15 February and ended on 28 June. On 28 June 2013, Chin United defeated GFA FC to become the first ever MNL-2 Champions.
The 2014 Myanmar National League season was 5th edition of Myanmar National League. The first round of the season was on 1 February 2014 and ended on 8 June 2013. The second round begins on 7 June 2014 and ends on 21 November 2014.
The 2014 MNL-2 New Holland League is the second edition of MNL-2. The first round of the season began on 1 February and ended on 28 March. The schedule for the second round will be released after completion of the first round. The two guest teams taking part in MNL-2 will not be qualified to either MNL or MFF Cup.
The 2015 Myanmar National League is the 6th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs. The first round of the season began on 10 January 2015, with the last round ending on 31 October 2015. The Myanmar National League will be temporarily suspended for three months from 8 March to 22 June due to the 2015 Southeast Asian Games held in Singapore. The 2015 transfer window for Myanmar National League clubs will open from 19 May 2015 to 18 June 2015.

The 2016 Myanmar National League, also known as the 2016 Ooredoo Myanmar National League, was the 7th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs since its founding in 2009.The transfer period for the 2016 season was from 1 November 2015 to 8 January 2016.
The MNL-2 2016 is the Myanmar National League's fourth full regular season. Four new clubs will join in 2016 MNL-2. There are Mahar United Football Club, United of Thanlyin Football Club, Thihadeepa United Football Club and City Stars Football Club. 2016 MNL-2 will start on 15 January. New clubs must play a qualifying round. Only three clubs will qualify to play in MNL-2.

The 2017 Myanmar National League, also known as the 2017 Max Cement Myanmar National League, is the 8th season of the Myanmar National League, the top Burmese professional league for association football clubs since its founding in 2009. The nation's highest professional football league was shaken up at the end of the 2016 season following a series of surprise announcements by MNL-1 teams Zwegapin United and Zeyar Shwe Myay stating that they were going to drop out of the League in the next season. Also, Manaw Myay announced the team would be disbanded, despite winning promotion to Myanmar’s premier domestic league by finishing the season's MNL-2 from the first place. A committee meeting between the Myanmar Football Federation and Myanmar National League officials held in Yangon on September 10 decided to reverse Southern Myanmar's relegation to MNL-2 in the next season, while Nay Pyi Taw received a surprise promotion into the first-tier league. Facing the loss of three squads and fears of scheduling complications for an 11-team league, MFF officials resolved to allow Southern Myanmar to remain in MNL-1, despite an 11th-place finish with only 14 points in the 2016 season. MNL-2 second-place finishers G.F.A, as well as third-place Nay Pyi Taw, were also promoted to the top league to maintain a 12-team schedule.

The 2018 National League 2, also known as the 2018 MPT Myanmar National League 2, is the sixth season of the MNL-2, the second division league for association football clubs since its founding in 2012. At the end of the 2017 MNL-2, City Yangon F.C. won the MNL-2 title. And then, City Yangon F.C. and Sagaing United promoted to 2018 Myanmar National League. But City Yangon F.C. quit from Myanmar National League. So, Myawady FC auto promoted to 2018 Myanmar National League. City Yangon F.C. and Chin United F.C. abandoned their clubs. In 2018 National League 2, there is only seven will play for MNL-2 winner.

At the end of the 2018 MNL-2, Royal Thanlyin won the MNL-2 title. After 2018 MNL-2 finished, Royal Thanlyin and Dagon FC promoted to 2019 Myanmar National League. Chin United will play again in 2019 MNL-2.
