Defending champion Hsieh Su-wei and her partner, Elise Mertens, defeated Veronika Kudermetova and Elena Vesnina in the final, 3–6, 7–5, 9–7, to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. The pair saved two championship points en route to their first major title together.

Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai defeated Coco Gauff and Caty McNally in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the women's doubles title at the 2021 US Open. Nao Hibino and Oksana Kalashnikova defeated Quinn Gleason and Elixane Lechemia in the final, 6–7(7–9), 7–5, [10–3] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2023 Prague Open. It was the second time that Hibino won the singles and doubles titles at the same WTA Tour tournament, following the 2019 Japan Women's Open.

Francesca Di Lorenzo and Makenna Jones were the defending champions, but Di Lorenzo retired from professional tennis last summer, and Jones chose not to participate.
