The 2024 ASEAN Women's Futsal Championship is the inaugural edition of the ASEAN Women's Futsal Championship. [1] It is being hosted by Philippines from November 16 to 21 in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. [2] Vietnam became the inaugural champion. [3]
All five participating teams are playing a single round robin after which the first and second placed team will play in the final, and the third and fourth placed team will figure in a third-place play-off. [4]
The draw for the tournament was held on October 21, 2024. There was only one single group. Five participating teams, excluding the host are placed in a single pot. The host country, Philippines, are automatically placed in A1, while the rest of the teams are drawn into random positions (A2–A6). [5] Ranking is as of October 11, 2024. [2] [6]

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) is the governing body of association football in the Philippines. Established as the Philippine Amateur Football Association (PAFA) in 1907, the PFF is one of the oldest national football associations in Asia and is among the founding members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The PAFA reorganized as the Philippine Football Association (PFA), and later as the Philippine Football Federation.
The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) is an organisation within the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and is an international governing body of association football, futsal, and beach soccer in Southeast Asia. It consists of the federations of Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. However Australia is geographically not Southeast Asian.
The 2010 AFF Championship, sponsored by Suzuki and P&G and officially known as the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup, was the 8th edition of the AFF Championship, took place on 1–29 December 2010. Indonesia and Vietnam hosted the group stage from 1 to 8 December. Two-legged home-and-away semi-finals and finals were held between 15 and 29 December 2010.

The Philippines women's national futsal team represents the Philippines in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Philippine Futsal Committee of the Philippine Football Federation.
The 2016 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was a men's futsal competition which decided the participating teams of the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan (hosts), who qualified directly as the top three finishers of the 2014 AFC Futsal Championship. Since third-placed Uzbekistan qualified automatically as hosts, Kuwait, who finished fourth, would have also qualified as the next best-ranked team, but they were later replaced due to FIFA's suspension of the Kuwait Football Association.

The 2022 AFF U-23 Championship was the 3rd edition of the AFF U-23 Championship, organised by ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The tournament was held from 14 to 26 February in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Indonesia were the defending champions, having won the 2019 edition. The tournament was held amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Indonesia and Myanmar withdrew from the tournament after several of their players tested positive for COVID-19.
The 2022 AFF Women's Championship was the 12th edition of the AFF Women's Championship, an international women's football tournament organised by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The final tournament was originally scheduled to run from 3 to 17 July 2020. However, the tournament was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was later rescheduled and was held from 4 to 17 July 2022 in the Philippines.
