The 24th edition of the U17 Korfball World Cup took place in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It has been organized by the Royal Dutch Korfball Association (KNKV) and patronized by the International Korfball Federation. [1]

Contents

Netherlands won the trophy after winning every game during the tournament and took back the trophy won by the Chinese Taipei team during the previous edition. [2] [3] [4]

The 11th IKF World Korfball Championship was held in August 2019 in Durban, South Africa and won by the Netherlands. The International Korfball Federation awarded the hosting rights for the tournament to South Africa on 7 November 2015, ahead of the bid by New Zealand.

PKC is a Dutch korfball club located in Papendrecht, Netherlands. The club was founded on 2 February 1935 and they play their home games in the PKC-Hal. The team plays in white shirts and green shorts / skirts. The club has around 1000 members, which makes it the biggest korfball club in the world.

CKV DVO/Transus is a Dutch korfball club located in Bennekom, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1946 and they play their home games in the DVO/Transus-hal. The team plays in green shirts and white shorts / skirts.

The 2017 season was the 120th season of competitive football in Sweden. Sweden participated in qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The 12th IKF World Korfball Championship was held in Taipei, Taiwan. It was the first time in the history of the IKF World Korfball Championship, the final wasn't played between Belgium and the Netherlands. The International Korfball Federation awarded the hosting rights for the tournament to Taiwan on 9 August 2019, ahead of the bids of Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The Netherlands was awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 IKF World Korfball Championship instead.

The teams event of the 2019 BWF World Junior Championships was held from 30 September to 5 October 2019. The event was also known as the 2019 Suhandinata Cup. China was the 13-time defending champions in this event.

The group stage of the 2019 BWF World Junior Championships – Teams event was the first stage of the competition. It was held at Kazan Gymnastics Center in Kazan, Russia, from 30 September to 5 October.

The korfball event at the 2001 World Games in Akita, Japan took place between the 18th and the 22nd of August. A total of 96 athletes from 6 national teams entered the competition. The competition took place in Aspal Gymnasium.

The korfball competition at the 2022 World Games took place in July 2022, in Birmingham in United States, at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. Originally scheduled to take place in July 2021, the Games were rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The EuroBasket 2025 qualification is a basketball competition that is being played from November 2021 to February 2025, to determine the 20 FIBA Europe member nations who will join the automatically qualified co-hosts Latvia, Cyprus, Finland and Poland at the EuroBasket 2025 finals tournament.

The 2021 European Korfball A-Championship was held in Belgium from 25 to 30 October 2021. Matches was played in Antwerp. It was the second edition where the European Korfball Championship is split into an A-Championship and a B-Championship. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2023 IKF World Korfball Championship.

The teams event of the 2022 BWF World Junior Championships was held from 17 – 22 October 2022. The event is also known as the 2022 Suhandinata Cup. Indonesia was the champion of the last edition held in Kazan, Russia.

The group stage of the 2022 BWF World Junior Championships – Teams event is the first stage of the competition. It will hold at Palacio de Deportes de Santander in Santander, Spain, from 17 to 22 October 2022.

The second edition of the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship took place in Kemer, Turkey and has been organized by the International Korfball Federation.

The 23rd edition of the U17 Korfball World Cup took place in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It has been organized by the Royal Dutch Korfball Association (KNKV) and patronized by the International Korfball Federation.
