The 2024 Men's Asian Champions Trophy (officially known as The Hero Asian Champions Trophy Moqi, China 2024 for sponsorship reasons) was the eighth edition of the Men's Asian Champions Trophy. The hockey tournament consisted of the six best Asian national teams and was organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. [1] [2] The tournament was held in Hulunbuir, China from 8 to 17 September 2024. [3]

Contents

India were the defending champions. [4] They defended their title by defeating the hosts China 1–0 in the final to win a record-extending fifth title. [5] Pakistan won the bronze medal by defeating South Korea 5–2. [6]

The 2013 Men's Hockey Asia Cup was the ninth edition of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup, the quadrennial international men's field hockey championship of Asia organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. It was held from 24 August to 1 September 2013 in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The winner of this tournament qualified for the 2014 World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands.

Harmanpreet Singh is an Indian field hockey player as well as the captain of the Indian national hockey team. He plays as a defender, is a penalty corner specialist, and is regarded as one of the best drag flickers in the world. He has scored the most number of international goals for India in modern day hockey. He led the team to clinch the bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This was his second bronze in three appearances at the Olympics. Singh also captained the team to win a gold at the 2022 Asian Games. He has won the Player of the Year title at the FIH Awards thrice.

The 2013 Men's Asian Champions Trophy was the third edition of the Men's Asian Champions Trophy. The tournament was held alongside the women's tournament in Kakamigara, Japan from 2 to 10 November 2013.

The 2017 Men's Hockey Asia Cup, also known as the Hero Men's Asia Cup 2017 due to sponsorship reasons, was the tenth edition of the Men's Hockey Asia Cup. It was held from 11 to 22 October 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The winner of this tournament qualified for the 2018 World Cup in India.

The Hero Asian Champions Trophy 2018 was held at Muscat, Oman between October 18–28, 2018. It was the fifth edition of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy, a field hockey tournament for the six best Asian national teams. This was announced by the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) on 29 January 2018. The Oman Hockey Association hosted the tournament.

The men's field hockey tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Hockey Field, Jakarta, Indonesia, from 20 August to 1 September 2018.

The 2019 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup was the 28th edition of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. It was held in Ipoh, Malaysia from 23 until 30 March.

The tournament consisted of six teams.
