The 2024 QAFLW season was the 24th season of the QAFL Women's (QAFLW), the highest-level senior women's Australian rules football competition in Queensland. [1] The season featured eight clubs, beginning on 6 April and concluding on 25 August. [2] [3]
The premiership was won by Southport for the first time, after they defeated Bond University by 35 points in the 2024 QAFLW Grand Final at People First Stadium. [4] [5]

The Southport Australian Football Club, nicknamed the Sharks, is an Australian rules football club based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, that competes in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
The J.A. Grogan Medal, commonly known as the Grogan Medal, is an Australian rules football award given to the best and fairest player in home and away rounds of each season's QAFL/Queensland State League competition. From 2011 to 2013 it was awarded to the best and fairest player in the North East Australian Football League Northern Conference. It was first awarded under the present name in 1946, previously being known as the De Little Medal.
The Queensland Australian Football League Women's (QAFLW) is the highest-ranked Australian rules football women's league in Queensland. It provides elite women footballers the opportunity to play in a semi-professional environment. Many players from this league have represented their State, earned All-Australian honours, and participated in AFLW.
Emily Bates is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for the Brisbane Lions from 2017 to season 7. Bates was selected by the Western Bulldogs in the inaugural national women's draft in 2013, and represented them in the first three years of the exhibition games staged prior to the creation of the league. She represented Brisbane in 2016, the last year that the games were held, and was drafted by the club with the second selection in the 2016 AFL Women's draft prior to the inaugural AFL Women's season.
Ryan Davis is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles and Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Zane Taylor is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the early 1980s.
