The 2024 Tel Aviv municipal election was held on February 27, 2024. [1] Originally scheduled for October 31, 2023, the elections were delayed due to the Gaza war to elect the mayor of Tel Aviv. [2] The election was part of the 2024 Israeli municipal elections. Campaign issues included the increasing cost of living, [3] the local real estate market and high housing costs, [4] frequent traffic jams, [5] [6] the construction and delayed opening of the Tel Aviv Light Rail, [7] and public transportation on Shabbat.
