Sorana Cîrstea defeated Elise Mertens in the final, 6–1, 7–6(7–3) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 İstanbul Cup. This was Cîrstea's first title since 2008. Cîrstea did not drop a set throughout the tournament.

The 2021 US Open – Women's Singles Qualifying was a series of tennis matches from 24 August 2021 to 27 August 2021 where 128 players competed to determine the 16 qualifiers into the main draw of the 2021 US Open women's singles tournament, and, if necessary, the lucky losers. Due to pandemic-related restrictions, the qualifying matches were not open to the public.
This was the first edition of the women's event.
Ons Jabeur defeated Jessica Pegula in the final, 7–5, 0–6, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Madrid Open. It was her first WTA 1000 title, and she became the first Arab and African woman to win a WTA 1000 title.
Defending champion Iga Świątek defeated Ons Jabeur in the final, 6–2, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Italian Open. She did not drop a set during the tournament, and was the first player to win the title in Rome without dropping a set since Serena Williams in 2016. This was Świątek's fifth consecutive WTA Tour title, and she became the first player to win four WTA 1000 titles in a single season since Serena Williams in 2013. With the win, Świątek extended her winning streak to 28 matches – the longest on the WTA Tour since Serena Williams won 34 consecutive matches in 2013. This was also the first time in her professional career that Świątek defended a title. Jabeur was attempting to be the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win consecutive titles in Madrid and Rome; she reached the final after saving a match point in her semifinal match against Daria Kasatkina.
Martina Trevisan was the defending champion but chose not to participate.
Irina-Camelia Begu defeated Lucia Bronzetti in the final, 6–2, 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Internazionali Femminili di Palermo. It was her fifth career WTA Tour singles title, her first since 2017. Bronzetti was contesting her first career singles final.
Magdalena Fręch was the defending champion but lost in the quarterfinals to Wang Qiang.
This is the first edition of the event as a WTA 125 tournament. It was part of the ITF Women's Circuit from 2016 to 2018. Viktória Kužmová was the champion when the event was last held in 2018, but lost in the first round of qualifying to Amarissa Kiara Tóth.
Mayar Sherif defeated Maria Sakkari in the final, 7–5, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Emilia-Romagna Open. It was her maiden WTA Tour title, and Sherif became the first Egyptian to win a WTA Tour singles title.
Wang Xiyu defeated Magda Linette in the final, 6–0, 6–2 to win the singles title at the 2023 Guangzhou Open. It was her first WTA Tour title.
Two-time defending champion Iga Świątek defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, 7–6(10–8), 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2024 WTA Qatar Open. Świątek did not lose a set en route to the title for the second consecutive year. It was her seventh WTA 1000 title and 18th WTA Tour title overall. Świątek became the first player to win three titles at the Qatar Open, and the first player to win three consecutive titles at the same hardcourt tournament since Serena Williams at the Miami Open between 2013 and 2015.
Jasmine Paolini defeated Anna Kalinskaya in the final, 4–6, 7–5, 7–5 to win the women's singles title at the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships. It was her first WTA 1000 title and second WTA Tour singles title overall. Paolini avenged her loss to Kalinskaya at the Australian Open, where both players had progressed to the second week of a major for the first time. Kalinskaya was the second qualifier to contest a WTA 1000 final, following Caroline Garcia at the 2022 Cincinnati Open.
Yuan Yue defeated Wang Xiyu in the final, 6–4, 7–6(7–4) to win the singles tennis title at the 2024 ATX Open. It was her first WTA Tour title. This marked the first all-Chinese final at a tournament outside of Asia since the 2006 Estoril Open.
Iga Świątek defeated Maria Sakkari in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Indian Wells Open. It was her eighth WTA 1000 and 19th career WTA Tour title, and she did not lose a set en route. Świątek became the first woman to win multiple titles at Indian Wells since Victoria Azarenka in 2016, and just the tenth woman to do so overall. She was the first player since Maria Sharapova in 2013 to win the title without dropping a set, and lost just 21 games throughout the entire tournament; this was the fewest since Steffi Graf lost 16 games in 1994. The final was a rematch of the 2022 final, which Świątek also won.
Iga Świątek defeated defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in a rematch of the previous year's final, 7–5, 4–6, 7–6(9–7) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Madrid Open. She saved three championship points en route to her ninth WTA 1000 and 20th career WTA Tour title.
Irina-Camelia Begu won the singles title at the 2024 Montreux Nestlé Open, defeating Petra Marčinko in the final; 1–6, 6–3, 6–0.
Zeynep Sönmez defeated Ann Li in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles title at the 2024 Mérida Open. It was her first WTA Tour title. Sönmez became the second Turkish woman to win a main tour singles title, and first since Çağla Büyükakçay in 2016.
The 2025 Hobart International is a professional women's tennis tournament to be played on outdoor hard courts. It will be the 30th edition of the Hobart International and part of the WTA 250 tournaments of the 2025 WTA Tour. It will take place at the Hobart International Tennis Centre in Hobart, Australia from 6 to 11 January 2025.
