The 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I comprises two international ice hockey tournaments of the 2025 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). [1]

Contents

Group A will be held in Shenzhen, China from 13 to 19 April and Group B will be held in Dumfries, Great Britain, from 9 to 15 April 2025. [2]

The 2025 IIHF World Championship will be co-hosted by Stockholm, Sweden, and Herning, Denmark, from 9 to 25 May 2025. The 2022 IIHF U18 World Championship Division I was two international under-18 ice hockey tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Division I A and Division I B tournaments represent the second and the third tier of the IIHF World U18 Championship.

The 2022 IIHF U18 World Championship Division III was two international under-18 ice hockey tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Division III A and Division III B tournaments represent the sixth and the seventh tier of the IIHF World U18 Championship.

Qualification for the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics will be determined by the IIHF World Ranking following the 2024 Women's Ice Hockey World Championships. The host along with the top six teams in the world ranking receive automatic berths into the Olympics, while all other teams have an opportunity to qualify for the remaining three spots. The participation of Russia is not yet confirmed and depends on if the team is allowed to return to the IIHF Championship program.

The 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship Division I consists of two international under-20 ice hockey tournaments organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Division I A is the second tier and Division I B is the third tier of the IIHF World Junior Championship. For each tier's tournament, the first-placed team will be promoted to the next higher division, while the bottom-placed team will be relegated to a lower division.

The 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship Division II will be two international under-20 ice hockey tournaments organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Division II consists of two tiered groups of six teams each: the fourth-tier Division II A and the fifth-tier Division II B.
