Toward the end of November 2025, a flash flood affected Northern part of Sumatra with 3 provinces being affected; Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. Days of extreme weather condition has triggered floods and landslide with four regencies in North Sumatra such as Sibolga, North Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, and South Tapanuli being the most affected region.
