The 2025 Women's State of Origin Series will be the eighth official Women's State of Origin rugby league series between New South Wales and Queensland. It will be the second time in Women's State of Origin history that it will be a three-game series. The first game is to be played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 1 May 2024. [1] The second game will be on 15 May at Allianz Stadium, Sydney, and the third game will be played in Newcastle at McDonald Jones Stadium on 29 May 2025. [1] The teams have played each other annually since 1999 [2] with the 2018 match being the first under the State of Origin banner.
Teams will be announced in the weeks preceding the first match on 1 May 2025.
Stadium Australia, currently known as Accor Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium located in the suburb of Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The stadium, which is sometimes referred to as Sydney Olympic Stadium, Homebush Stadium or simply the Olympic Stadium, was completed in March 1999 at a cost of A$690 million to host the 2000 Summer Olympics. The Stadium was leased by a private company, the Stadium Australia Group, until the Stadium was sold back to the NSW Government on 1 June 2016 after NSW Premier Michael Baird announced the Stadium was to be redeveloped as a world-class rectangular stadium. The Stadium is owned by Venues NSW on behalf of the NSW Government.

The league is run by the National Rugby League (NRL) and is contested by a subset of clubs from that competition. The current Premiers are the Sydney Roosters.

The 2023 Women's State of Origin Series was the sixth official Women's State of Origin rugby league series between New South Wales and Queensland. It was the first time in Women's State of Origin history that it was a series rather than a one-off game. The first game was played at Parramatta's Commbank Stadium on 2 June 2022 and the second was played at Townsville's Queensland Country Bank Stadium. The teams have played each other annually since 1999 with the 2023 series being the sixth played under the State of Origin banner. Queensland were crowned champions having scored four more points than New South Wales as the teams won a game each in the two-game series.
