The Wests Tigers Women are an Australian professional rugby league football team, based in the Inner West and South West Sydney. The team is part of the Wests Tigers club and plays in the National Rugby League Women's Premiership.

Contents

In June 2022, Wests Tigers were accepted into the NRLW for the 2023 Season. [1] [2] Brett Kimmorley was announced as head coach in October 2022. [3] In early April 2023 the club made their first player signing announcement, with the naming of Kezie Apps, Botille Vette-Welsh, and Sarah Togatuki. [4] Wests Tigers Women played their first NRLW competition game in July 2023.

The 2023 NRLW Premiership was the sixth professional season of Women's rugby league in Australia. As announced in March 2022 by the governing body, the National Rugby League, the number of teams increased from six to ten.
The duration of the season was confirmed by the NRL in a media release on 14 February 2023 as nine rounds followed by semi-finals and a Grand Final.

The Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks Women are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Cronulla, in the Sutherland Shire, Southern Sydney, New South Wales. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Women are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. From mid-2025 they will compete in the National Rugby League Women's Premiership. Currently, the club fields women’s teams in the pathway competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the open-age Harvey Norman Women's Premiership, Under 19 Tarsha Gale Cup, and Under 17 Lisa Fiaola Cup.
