The 2nd Ikon Awards ceremony, presented by the Sauti Plus Hub, [2] will honor Ugandan films released from 2022 and 2023, and will take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda, on March 23, 2024. [3] Polly Kamukama's Unheard received 12 nominations making it the most nominated followed by The Passenger and The Kitara Chronicles. Unheard won 6 Awards followed by the Passenger with 4 and Kitara Chronicles with 2 Awards [4] [5]

Lukyamuzi Bashir (born 7 December 1986) is a Ugandan music director, film director and producer. He also directed Goodlyfe Crew's music videos Talk n Talk, This is how we do it. He is popularly known to work with friend and artist A Pass.

Sarah Nampijja recognized professionally as Sera was a Ugandan singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence on the Ugandan entertainment scene in 2012 with her hit single "contagious" in which she featured Jeff Blaise.

Alex Julius Kwesigabo, better known by his stage name Flex D'Paper, is a Ugandan rapper and songwriter born and raised in Kampala. Starting off his music career, Flex D'Paper was part of the high school rap group, The Rapaholix, which he started with friends, Dasper Cosine and later joined by Apass as an affiliate with whom the trio put out a mix tape, The Eviction Notice that included chart topping singles like "Burning", "Party Life" and "Follow Me" which topped countdowns in Uganda such as NTV and Sanyu FM. Flex D'Paper was part of the 2014 UG Cypher including the finest Ugandan rappers: Navio, Keko, Big Tril, Don MC, AirporTaxi rappers St. Nelly Sade, GNL Zamba, DJ Global, JB, The Mith, Ruyonga, and Atlas.

<i>Love Faces</i> (film) 2017 Ugandan film

Love Faces is a Ugandan drama thriller film written and directed by Usama Mukwaya. It is Mukwaya's feature film directorial debut, and stars Laura Kahunde, Moses Kiboneka Jr., Patriq Nkakalukanyi and Salome Elizabeth in leading roles. The film had a special screening on 31 August 2017 at the Uganda Film Festival 2017. It had its official release on 4 January 2018.

Humphrey Nabimanya is a Ugandan social entrepreneur, philanthropist, peer educator, founder and team leader at Reach A Hand, Uganda. He founded the Ikon Awards.

Pastor Aloysius Bugingo is a Ugandan born-again pastor and businessman. He is the Director of Salt Media Group of Companies, and a church in Makerere, Kikoni, Kampala, the House of Prayer Ministries International. He was named the most influential born-again preacher by the East Africa Book of Records.

Raphael Magyezi is a Ugandan politician. He served as Member of Parliament representing Igara West beginning in 2011. He was appointed in the Cabinet of Uganda as the Minister for Local Government in 2019 by PresidenYoweri Musevenit.

The iKon Awards - Film & Television is an awarding programme that recognizes and rewards implementers and personalities in the Film and Television and Mainstream Media in Uganda and ultimately, Africa. Founded by Humphrey Nabimanya, the new annual initiative is now presented by SAUTIplus Media Hub.

<i>Kampala Boy</i> 2021 studio album by Flex DPaper

Kampala Boy is the first studio album by Ugandan musician Flex D'Paper, released on 10 December 2021. The album features guest appearances from Swae Lee on the intro and songs with Navio, Fik Fameica, A Pass, Keko, Shena skies, Wake the Poet, Mozelo Kidz, Kemishan, Lagum the rapper. The production includes Aethan Music, Mio Made, Sam Lamara, Wake the Poet, Bad Chwezi and Lucian.
