3.14 is the debut EP by Canadian rapper Pvrx. It was released on July 26, 2019, by Def Jam Recordings. [1] [2]
The EP consists of 7 songs and is 28 minutes long. [3] The album was known for being filled with melodies that complement his storytelling lyrics. It contained guest appearances from Dave East & Yung Pinch. The album was supported by 2 singles, Make It and Is U Down. [4] His single Make It which appears on this album also appeared on a compilation album meant to showcase Def Jam’s new group of signees. [5] Canadian music mag Exclaim! describes Pvrx as "Dynamic" and describes him on this EP as an artist who can dramatically shift in his sound. [6] Adding that PVRX describes a larger rounded image of Toronto's socio-economic inequality whilst also giving sound to a generation of the children of the town on a bigger scale. [7] The streams on the EP surpassed 400,000 plays on Spotify within the first month. [1] The music video for "Nun New" was released on January 1, 2020. [8]
In promotion of his EP, Pvrx released The Formula, a short film in promotion of 3.14. The documentary contained appearances from Rexdale natives Kardinal Offishall and Jelleestone. [9] It was an eight-minute documentary which brings the viewer behind the views of Pvrx’s progress and provides an internal look into his journey and where he is today. [10]

Canadian music mag Exclaim! gave the album a 9/10. Riley Wallace describing Pvrx as an artist who perfectly represents Toronto's socio-economic disparity on an American platform. He went on to say that Pvrx bleeds emotion into every song on the EP.

Whiss also appeared on the Noisey documentary 6IX RISING (2017), which showcased hip hop culture in Canada. He is one-third of the hip hop collective Prime Boys, alongside Jimmy Prime and Donnie. Prime Boys released their debut studio album Koba World on July 27, 2018; the album received a 9/10 score by Exclaim!. Whiss was also featured in the short film Remember Me, Toronto (2019) by Mustafa the Poet.
Jaiden Anthony Watson, better known by his stage name NorthSideBenji, is a Canadian rapper and musician from Brampton, Ontario. Benji gained recognition from his Certified Gold single "Levels", which featured Toronto rapper Houdini. The single was released in December 2018, and was the only supporting single of his debut extended play, Caviar Dreams, which was released on January 18, 2019. He released his second EP Frienemy on September 6, 2019.
Chris Stiliadis, better known by his stage name Chris Yonge, is a Canadian rapper, producer and sound engineer from Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Old Toronto, to a Greek father and German mother, he first gained recognition with his debut EP Presence released in 2015. He is perhaps best known for his 2016 single "TGIF", which went on to be featured in his second EP, Negatives, released in 2017. His third EP, SS17, was released later that year.
