Belarusians, also known formerly as Byelorussians, are an East Slavic ethnic group who are native to modern-day Belarus and the immediate region. There are over 9.5 million people who proclaim Belarusian ethnicity worldwide, with the majority residing either in Belarus or the adjacent countries where they are an autochthonous minority.
Belarusian is an East Slavic language spoken by the Belarusians. It is one of the two official languages in the Republic of Belarus under the current Constitution, along with Russian. Additionally, it is spoken in some parts of Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Ukraine by Belarusian minorities in those countries.

Taraškievica or Belarusian Classical Orthography is a variant of orthography of the Belarusian language, based on the literary norm of the modern Belarusian language, the first normalization of which was made by Branislaŭ Taraškievič in 1918, and was in official use in Belarus until the Belarusian orthography reform of 1933. Since 1933, Taraškievica has been used informally in Belarus and by the Belarusian diaspora abroad. In a more common sense Taraškievica is sometimes considered to be a linguistic norm.
Vitali Silitski was a Belarusian political scientist, analyst, the first director of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies. He got his PhD in political science from the Rutgers University. Vitali Silitski is the author of the concepts of preventive authoritarianism and authoritarian international; civil activist and blogger. He died at the age of 38 years from kidney cancer.
Mova Nanova is a Belarusian course that has taken place in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, since January 13, 2014. It is a non-profit NGO, a cultural and linguistic initiative aimed at expanding the everyday use of the Belarusian language, which alongside Russian is one of the two official languages of Belarus. The lessons are held in the gallery of modern art «Ў». The initiative has caught on and has been acclaimed by other regional cities that support the endeavour locally – now the courses can be also found in Baranavičy, Hrodna, Babrujsk, Niasviž, Brest, Maladziečna, Mahilioŭ, Viciebsk and Homel. The undertaking has also expanded outside Belarus and has an affiliate group in Kraków. On 23 July 2021, Mova Nanova was forcibly disbanded by the Minsk district executive committee.
Bristeil are an indie rock music band from Minsk, Belarus. Their music is often referred to as "intelligent rock". The group was formed in 2013 by lead vocalist and guitarist Aleh Vial. They released the debut EP Cyruĺnia Svietu on 26 May 2014. At present, Vial mostly focuses on songwriting for his solo electronic music project Helaiv, launched in 2017, while guitarist Max Bykau in fall 2018 began to play in the acoustic pop duo Maks & Lera, while playing part-time in the cover band Miami.

Onliner.by also performs as a marketplace of cars, services, and consumer electronics. As of August 2015, Onliner.by was among the top 10 most visited websites in Bynet and the first created by Belarusians.
Palina, whose real name is Palina Yurʹewna Palanyeychyk, is a Belarusian singer. Repertoire mainly consists of her own works, and she performs songs in Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian, and French.
Budzma! Tuzin. Perazagruzka-2 is a compilation album by a dozen Belarusian and foreign bands and solo performers, who usually sing in Russian, English, and Ukrainian, but made covers of their songs in Belarusian. The CD was released by the public movement Budzma Belarusians! and the music portal Tuzin.fm in December 2011. The project was visualized by Siarhei Budkin. The presentation of the compilation, which was headlined by Oleg Skrypka, took place at the Minsk club "Loft" on December 15, 2011.
Tuzin.fm is a private non-profit Belarusian web-portal, which was created in 2003 to cover musical creativity in Belarus. Among its objectives, the site promotes music written in Belarus and motivates to listen to Belarusian songs as large an audience as possible. It initiates and implements music projects and is the information partner of the most significant events of the Belarusian independent music scene. Independently determining its information policy, the nature and content of the information, advertising, audio, and video materials, in 2009 the mass media had more than 50 thousand monthly visitors who downloaded more than 80 thousand songs.
Experty.by is a web-portal dedicated to music in Belarus, as well as the associated music awards of the same name of Belarusian music critics. Moreover, the portal acts as a coorganizer of another awards, the Rock Profi awards.
Rusya is a Belarusian vocalist of the band Indiga, a Rock-Princess according to the results of the tenth “Rock Coronation.” She is the vocalist of the band Šuma and also takes part in the band Akana-NHS and others.
The Lira is a Belarusian set of national music awards in the field of popular music, which was founded on December 24, 2010, it was an initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2011, the Lira has been broadcast by the Capital TV channel.
Brestskaya Gazeta is a non-governmental newspaper from Brest, Belarus. Its first number came on November 18, 2002. The main language of the newspaper and its website is Russian, but some stories are written in Belarusian. Its latest issue is dated December 30, 2020.
