The 39th People's Choice Awards ceremony, honoring the best in popular culture for 2012, was held January 9, 2013 [1] at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and was broadcast live on CBS and simulcast over Xbox Live at 9:00 pm EST. The ceremony was hosted by Kaley Cuoco. The nominees were announced in November 2012. [2] [3]

Katy Perry dominated the 39th People's Choice Awards by winning the most awards for one person, winning four nominations, including Favorite Female Artist. The Hunger Games was the top victor with five trophies while Twilight won Best Movie Fan Following. [4]

The 21st Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on March 29, 2008, at the Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, California. The show was the first live-action/animated Kids Choice Awards show. The event was hosted by Jack Black. Voting began March 3 on Nick.com and Nicktropolis. A "Bring on the Nominees" special hosted by Lil' JJ aired also. The Naked Brothers Band and Miley Cyrus were musical performances for the show. A sweepstakes was announced to promote the show. The number of votes cast broke the record previously set in 2007. 86,708,020 kids cast 88,254,272 votes between March 3–29 in 18 categories, to honor and vote for their favorites. Votes were cast via Nick.com, Nicktropolis, TurboNick, and for the first time via Nick's new mobile website (wap.nick.com). The award show attracted 7.7 million viewers.

The 2014 Teen Choice Awards ceremony was held on August 10, 2014 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. The event was originally scheduled to take place at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion, which was flooded by a broken water pipe on July 29, 2014 near the campus. It was broadcast on Fox at 8:00–10:00 pm ET live/PT tape-delayed. The awards celebrate the year's achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy, and the Internet, and were voted on by viewers aged 13 through 19. Selena Gomez was awarded the Ultimate Choice Award during the show.
