JOY 94.9, stylised as JOY or JOY 94.9, is a community radio station broadcasting at 94.9 FM in Melbourne. It is Australia's first and only LGBTQI+ community radio station.

By late 2006, 3KND had the beginnings of an mp3 library. In 2011, 3KND added DAB+ to its broadcast services, which operate 24/7. As at early 2019, the station operator is First Australians Media Enterprises (FAME), formerly the South Eastern Indigenous Media Association (SEIMA). KBHP is an FM radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to serve the community of Bemidji, Minnesota, which is located in northwestern Minnesota. KBHP plays country music and is owned and operated by Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. It has its own local news department, and gets statewide news from the Minnesota News Network. The Bemidji studios are located at 502 Beltrami Avenue, downtown Bemidji. It shares a transmitter site with sisters KLLZ-FM and KKZY, near Lake Plantagenet along Highway 9.

SYN is an Australian community radio station broadcasting to Melbourne, Victoria. First broadcast in January 2003, the station is operated by SYN Media under a youth license, with programming presented entirely by volunteers aged 12–25 years old. The station broadcasts from studios on the campus of RMIT University, with additional content syndicated from other community radio stations in Australia.
Student Youth Network Inc., operating as SYN Media, is an Australian youth-run not-for-profit organisation providing media training and broadcasting opportunities for young people. Commonly referred to as SYN, the organisation produces new and independent media that is made by and for young people in Melbourne. Founded in 2000, today volunteers – all aged 12–25 years of age – produce a radio station broadcast on FM radio and DAB+ digital radio, as well as content for television, print and online. A 2006 McNair listener survey showed a similar age group, 15–24, as the largest age group listening to community radio in Australia.
3MBS was the first FM radio station in Victoria, Australia, and began transmitting to Melbourne and surrounding areas on 1 July 1975. Since then it has operated successfully as a non-profit community-based organisation broadcasting classical and jazz music. 3MBS also led the way for the introduction of community radio in Australia back in 1968.

Digital broadcast radio in Australia uses the DAB+ standard and is available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin and Hobart. However, after 11 years, regional large cities such as Townsville and Ballarat still do not have DAB. The national government owned television/radio networks, the ABC and SBS, and the commercial radio stations in each market provide many of their services and a few digital-only services on the digital platform. Australia uses the AAC+ codec provided with upgraded DAB+ standard.
Flow FM is an Adult contemporary-formatted radio station based in Kapunda, South Australia, and broadcasting to regional and remote communities of South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory. It began broadcasting as Radio Freshstream in 2001.
SYN Nation was an Australian community radio station broadcasting to Melbourne, Victoria. First broadcast in April 2014, the station was operated by SYN Media, with programming presented entirely by volunteers aged 12–25 years old. The station broadcast from studios on the campus of RMIT University, alongside sister station SYN 90.7. The two stations were merged in April 2019 to create SYN.
