The film had a successful run at several international film festivals, winning best direction (Riri Riza) at the Brussels International Independent Film Festival 2008 and best Indonesian film at the Jakarta International Film Festival 2007.
What should have been a one day plane trip ended up becoming an unforgettable three days journey for the two cousins, as Ambar and her cousin Yusuf got drunk, miss a flight, and decide to drive to the family wedding they are in danger of missing. They encounter bizarre and unique people along the way, having discussions about their future, religion, sex and marriage, as well as avoiding the sexual tension growing between them.
