The 3x3 basketball tournament at the 2018 Mediterranean Games in Tarragona took place between 27 and 29 June. [1] The men's tournament was held at the Camp de Mart Auditorium. A women's tournament was also organized, after it was cancelled in 2013 because too few teams applied.

The 2021 FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup was the inaugural edition of the FIBA 3x3 Americup. It was the first-ever national team competition for 3x3 in the Americas. The games were held from November 12 to November 14 in Miami, United States. Sixteen men's teams and 13 women's teams participated in the event celebrated at the Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami.

The 2018 FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup was the second edition of the African 3x3 basketball event which was held between 9 and 11 November 2018 in Lomé, Togo. This event was staged in the covered outdoor venue of the Stade Omnisport Eyadema de Lomé. All African National Federations were invited to register a team for this event. Teams competed in two qualifiers in Benin and Madagascar to qualify for the event.
