45 is an album recorded by Mexican alternative rock band Jaguares.
The album was created by Saúl Hernández and Alfonso André in collaboration with Howard Willing. Recorded in Los Angeles and Mexico in June and produced in Nashville by Dave Thoenes. "Entre Tus Jardines", is the first single released.
The album's title, "45", refers to the approximately 45 million of people in Mexico who live in poverty. It is almost half of the country's population. [1]

Caifanes is a rock band from Mexico City. Formed in 1987, the group achieved international fame during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original line-up was Saúl Hernández, Sabo Romo, Alfonso André (drums) and Diego Herrera. Alejandro Marcovich later joined as lead guitar player. Caifanes' style can be described as a hybrid of British new wave, progressive rock and Latin percussion underscored by deep, somber and Latin American-Mexican-Spanish-influenced lyrics and the vocal style of Saúl Hernández. Members of Caifanes have cited The Cure, The Beatles and King Crimson as major influences. Adrian Belew having produced their third studio album, El Silencio, as well as making a guest appearance on it.
Caifanes is the debut studio album by Mexican rock band Caifanes. It was released in 1988 after the success of their first singles, "Mátenme porque me muero" and "La bestia humana". The original release of the album did not contain the songs "La negra Tomasa" and "Perdí mi ojo de venado", which were released in 1989 as singles and later incorporated into the album when it was re-released on compact disc in 1993. It is undergoing a re-pressing process as of March 2011.

La Barranca is a music group based in Mexico City. They are led by guitarist and songwriter José Manuel Aguilera, who previously and concurrently worked with Sangre Azteka, Jaguares, Cecilia Toussaint, Steven Brown/Nine Rain (Tuxedomoon), and more. After the original lineup—Aguilera, Federico Fong (bass), Alfonso Andre (drums), all of whom were guest members of Jaguares with former Caifanes frontman Saúl Hernández—went its separate ways, a second version of the band included Santa Sabina guitar virtuoso Alex Otaola and the rhythm section of brothers Jose María ("Chema") and Alonso Arreola. The band's sound moves from rock to fusion-ish jamming, with Mexican folk influence. On "El Fluir" the band decided to record live and to cut back on the keyboard and programmed additions to their music. "El Fluir" was their first US release since "Tempestad" in 1998. This edition was included a previously unreleased bonus track and a video for the first single "Pare de Sufrir".
