Roma is a town, locality and the administrative centre in the Maranoa Region, Queensland, Australia. The town was incorporated in 1867 and is named after Lady Diamantina Bowen, the wife of Sir George Bowen, the Governor of Queensland at the time. At the 2016 census, Roma had a population of 6,848.

The station broadcasts to the Maranoa Region on 1476 AM and provides a streams live on its website.

The station is currently owned by Resonate Broadcasting. Resonate purchased 4ZR in 2015, along with a number of other regional Queensland stations that were formerly part of the Macquarie Radio Network. Due to a merger between Macquarie and Fairfax Radio, the stations were offloaded in compliance with ACMA regulations. [4] [5]

Formed in 2008, with the acquisition of 3GG Warragul, Victoria, 4GC and Hot FM Charters Towers, Queensland, the company currently operates 16 radio stations across Australia and the United States.

Macquarie Media Limited is an Australian media company, operating radio stations nationally in the capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, as well as regional Queensland, it is based in the Sydney suburb of Pyrmont. It is a publicly listed company, majority owned by Nine Entertainment Co. It also operates news service Macquarie National News. The company was originally founded in 1938 as the Macquarie Broadcasting Network, adopting its current name after being acquired by Fairfax in 2015.

Programming on 4ZR is made up of a combination of locally presented shows, regionally networked programs such as Rural Queensland Today, [6] and nationally syndicated talk shows from capital cities such as those presented by Ray Hadley, Alan Jones and Steve Price. [7]

He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, and completed a one-year teaching diploma at Worcester College, Oxford. He has received civil and industry awards.

Steve Price is an Australian journalist and radio broadcaster. Price is currently working at Macquarie Media broadcasting on 2GB, 4BC and 3AW, he was previously the program director and breakfast presenter at MTR 1377.

Hot FM (Australian radio network)

Hot FM was a radio network broadcasting to Queensland and Western Australia. Owned and operated by Southern Cross Austereo, the stations broadcast a mix of local and networked programming. On 15 December 2016, the stations were merged into the Hit Network.
