Perthshire, officially the County of Perth, is a historic county and registration county in central Scotland. Geographically it extends from Strathmore in the east, to the Pass of Drumochter in the north, Rannoch Moor and Ben Lui in the west, and Aberfoyle in the south; it borders the counties of Inverness-shire and Aberdeenshire to the north, Angus to the east, Fife, Kinross-shire, Clackmannanshire, Stirlingshire and Dunbartonshire to the south and Argyllshire to the west. It was a local government county from 1890 to 1930.
Perth and Kinross is one of the 32 council areas of Scotland and a Lieutenancy Area. It borders onto the Aberdeenshire, Angus, Argyll and Bute, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Fife, Highland and Stirling council areas. Perth is the administrative centre. With the exception of a large area of south-western Perthshire, the council area mostly corresponds to the historic counties of Perthshire and Kinross-shire.
Atholl or Athole is a large historical division in the Scottish Highlands, bordering Marr, Badenoch, Lochaber, Breadalbane, Strathearn, Perth, and Gowrie. Historically it was a Pictish kingdom, becoming one of the original provinces of the Kingdom of Alba before being incorporated into the sheriffdom and later county of Perthshire. Today it forms the northern part of Perth and Kinross, Scotland.
Pitlochry is a town in the county of Perthshire in Scotland, lying on the River Tummel. It is administered as part of the council area of Perth and Kinross, and has a population of 2,776, according to the 2011 census.

Kinnaird is a village in Atholl, and the Perth and Kinross council area of Scotland. It lies on the Kinnaird Burn, one mile from Pitlochry on the A924 road.
Bridge of Tilt is a village in Perthshire, Scotland, built around the River Tilt, near its confluence with the River Garry. It is 5+3⁄4 miles northwest of Pitlochry. The newer part of the village is continuous with Blair Atholl, only separated by the River Tilt. The village is located primarily on the B8079 between Pitlochry and Dunalastair Water, but the older part of the village is located further up the River Tilt. The A9 runs past the River Garry to the south of Bridge of Tilt, and connects the village with Newtonmore and Inverness in the north and Pitlochry, Perth and Stirling in the south.
Dunkeld market cross, in the Scottish town of Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross, is in the form of a drinking fountain. A Category B listed structure in the care of the National Trust for Scotland, it was designed by C. S. Robertson and erected in 1866 as a monument to the George Murray, 6th Duke of Atholl. It replaced a cross that was about 20 feet (6.1 m) high, with four iron jougs attached to it.
The Atholl Arms Hotel is a hotel and restaurant in Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Standing at the corner of Bridge Street and Boat Road, it is a Category B listed building dating to 1833.
Sunnybrae Cottage is a building in the Scottish town of Pitlochry, Perth and Kinross. A Category A listed cottage dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, but incorporating earlier materials, it stands at the corner of Atholl Road and Larchwood Road. It was Category B listed until 1998 and was formerly a scheduled monument. Its scheduled status was removed in 2013. It is a rare surviving example of a cruck-framed thatched cottage, and is in the care of Historic Environment Scotland.

Unveiled in 1922, the Pitlochry War Memorial is located in the Scottish town of Pitlochry Perth and Kinross. A Category C listed structure, it stands just in front of the town's Memorial Garden. It initially commemorated 81 men and one woman of Moulin parish who died in World War I. The sixteen who died in World War II action were later added.
