The winners of the 7th Astra Midseason Movie Awards, presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance, were revealed on July 3, 2024, on the association's official Twitter page. [1] Previously presented as the Hollywood Critics Association Midseason Film Awards, this year's ceremony were the first midseason awards to be presented under the awards' current name: "Astra". [2]

The nominations were announced on July 1, 2024. The epic science fiction film Dune: Part Two led the nominations with seven, followed by Challengers , Civil War and The Fall Guy with six each; Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and I Saw the TV Glow received five nominations each. [1] [3] [4]

Dune: Part Two received the most awards with three wins, including Best Picture and Best Director (Denis Villeneuve), followed by Challengers and Love Lies Bleeding with two wins each. [5] [6] [7] [8]

All films considered and nominated were released between January 1 and June 30, 2024. [1]

The Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) is a 501 c6 membership-based non-profit organization of critics, entertainment journalists, content creators, industry influencers, and creatives. The vision and mission of the HCA is to amplify diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and culture within the world of entertainment. It was founded in 2016 as the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society and renamed in 2019 to Hollywood Critics Association. In 2023, Hollywood Critics Association ceased operations and a new organization called Hollywood Creative Alliance took its place, with its awards called the Astra Awards.
