8Radio.com is an Irish radio station, started in 2013 by Phantom FM founder Simon Maher. [2] [3] It is mostly an online music station, but has sometimes received a temporary licence from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) for FM broadcasts in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. [4] [5] [6]

Some of the station's presenters have had previous involvement with Phantom FM, including Steve Conway, Pearl, Amber, Brian Daly and Neil Murray.[ citation needed ] Others, such as Sinead Ni Chonaill and Angela Hughes, have had involvement in community stations such as Dublin City FM and Raidió Na Life.[ citation needed ] Maher also presents his own programmes.[ citation needed ]

Simon Maher has described the station as finding "a niche among music lovers and those who may not currently consume much, if any, traditional FM radio". [7]

The Camogie All Star Awards are awarded each November to 15 players who have made outstanding contributions to the Irish stick and ball team sport of camogie in the 15 traditional positions on the field: goalkeeper, three full backs, three half-backs, two midfields, three half-forwards and three full-forwards. RTÉ Lyric FM is an Irish classical-music and arts radio station, owned and operated by RTÉ. The station, which is based in Limerick, was launched in 1999 and is available on FM throughout Ireland, on Sky Digital satellite in Ireland and the United Kingdom, and via the Internet worldwide.

Raidió Rí-Rá, founded in 2008, is an Irish language chart music radio station broadcasting on DAB in County Waterford and Dublin, on the Internet, and, for approximately one month a year, on FM radio. The station has offices on Harcourt Street in Dublin.

Steve Conway is an Irish radio broadcaster and writer from Dublin. He formerly worked at the offshore pirate radio station Radio Caroline, later on the Dublin indie rock station Phantom 105.2, and most recently 8Radio, an online station operated by Phantom founder Simon Maher.

Sunshine 106.8 is an easy listening radio station, based in Dublin, Ireland. It is licensed by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) as a commercial FM broadcaster in the Dublin area. The station broadcasts on 106.8 MHz from Three Rock Mountain to County Dublin. It is included on the rebroadcast system operated within the Dublin Port Tunnel, and took part in trial DAB broadcasts in Dublin and Cork between 2012 and 2017.

Spirit Radio is an Irish Christian and religious radio station which began broadcasting in January 2011. It is licensed by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) to broadcast to the cities of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford, Bray, Greystones, Dundalk, Naas Athlone, Carlow, Kilkenny and Newbridge on FM. In July 2012, due to licence obligations, the station extended its coverage by opening a medium wave (AM) channel on 549 kHz. The 10 kW medium wave, 549 kHz transmitter is located Carrickroe, Co. Monaghan.

The Mayo county ladies' football team represents Mayo in amateur ladies' Gaelic football. The team competes in inter-county competitions such as the All-Ireland TG4 Senior Ladies Championship and the Lidl Ladies National Football League as a member of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.

Sinéad Goldrick is a dual code footballer, playing at the highest level in both Gaelic football and Australian rules football. She captained Dublin ladies in the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship Final and was a member of the Dublin teams that won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019. She was also a member of the Dublin team that won the 2018 Ladies' National Football League. In 2019 she won her seventh All Star award. During the 2010s she was also a prominent member of the Foxrock–Cabinteely team that won Dublin and Leinster titles and played in All-Ireland finals. In October 2019 it was announced that Goldrick has agreed to play for Melbourne Football Club of the AFLW in 2020 and she won a premiership with the club in 2022.
