ANDRA Pro Series is the Six Group 1 classes representing the pinnacle of Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) Championship Drag Racing these include Top Fuel, Top Doorslammer, Top Alcohol, Top Bike, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. They compete across the country at venues in Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland culminating at the championship finals at Willowbank Raceway at Ipswich in Queensland traditionally over the Queen's birthday long weekend in June.
The Australian National Drag Racing Association, or ANDRA for short, is the primary drag racing sanctioning body in Australia. The organisation was created in 1973 from a more drag racing oriented faction of the Australian Hot Rod Federation. Today the ANDRA sanctions races throughout Australia and throughout the year at all levels, from Top Fuel to Junior Dragster.
Top Doorslammer is a professional (Pro) class of Australian drag racing. It caters to full-bodied racing sedans which are replicas of Australian or US production vehicles. The class uses 514 cu. in. displacement, mechanically supercharged V8 engines which are fueled by methanol. The minimum weight break for these vehicles is 2700 lbs. It is similar to the Pro Modified class as defined by the NHRA.

Drag racing is a type of motor racing in which automobiles or motorcycles compete, usually two at a time, to be first to cross a set finish line. The race follows a short, straight course from a standing start over a measured distance, most commonly 1⁄4 mi, with a shorter becoming increasingly popular, as it has become the standard for Top Fuel dragsters and funny cars, where some major bracket races and other sanctioning bodies have adopted it as the standard, while the 1⁄8 mi is also popular in some circles. Electronic timing and speed sensing systems have been used to record race results since the 1960s.
The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is a drag racing governing body, which sets rules in drag racing and hosts events all over the United States and Canada. With over 40,000 drivers in its rosters, the NHRA claims to be the largest motorsports sanctioning body in the world.
The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is the second largest drag racing sanctioning body after the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

Willowbank Raceway is a drag racing facility in Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 30 – 45 minutes drive west of Brisbane. It is part of the Ipswich Motorsport Precinct, which includes a kart racing track; Ipswich Sprint Racing Circuit, a short circuit dirt racetrack; Ipswich Motor Sport Complex and bitumen racetrack Queensland Raceway. Since the closing of Surfers Paradise International Raceway following the 1987 Winternationals, the popular event, one of the largest drag racing festivals in the southern hemisphere, moved to the circuit in 1988. Between the end of Calder Park Raceway's top level drag racing career and the opening of Western Sydney International Dragway, it also hosted the Australian Drag Racing Nationals.
The Adelaide International Raceway is a permanent circuit owned by Australian Motorsport Club Limited under the auspices of the Bob Jane Corporation. The circuit is located 26 km north of Adelaide in South Australia on Port Wakefield Road at Virginia, and is adjacent to Adelaide's premier car racing Dirt track racing venue, Speedway City. AIR is owned by the Bob Jane Corporation and run by the Australian Motorsport Club Ltd.

2015/16 ANDRA Drag Racing Series is an Australian National Drag Racing Association sanctioned drag racing series in Australia. The Championship started in Darwin at Hidden Valley Raceway and will finish in Adelaide in April.
2015/16 Summit Sportsman Series is an Australian National Drag Racing Association sanctioned drag racing series in Australia for sportsman racers in Group 2, 3 and 4 classes, the series is televised on SBS Speedweek on Sundays 2pm.
