The ARY Film Award for International Icon of the Year is one of the ARY Film Awards of Honorary presented annually by the ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel to actors (Male or Female) working outside Pakistan.
International Icon Award is considered to be one of the most honorable award. International Icons are Pakistani actors working in film industry other than Lollywood. They work outside Pakistan and give a massage to the whole word that Pakistanis can be a symbol of excellence anywhere in this world. Representing one's country in the outer word is also a way of expressing one's love for the country. In this way International Icon Award is a symbol of Patriotism. International icons work outside Pakistan to show their talent to them and make the world feel their need. As they have a lot of fans and respect outside Pakistan, they became inspiration for juniors in their field.
International Icons have been awarded since 2014 when ARY Film Awards started. Being a prestigious award, International Icon Award has no nominee system. It is jury choice award.
International Icon Award was first awarded to Ali Zafar for his excellent achievement in Bollywood. [2] At 2nd ARY Film Awards, Fawad Khan won this award for his excellence and achievement in India. [3]

The ARY Film Awards, commonly known as The AFA's, is an annual Pakistani awards ceremony honoring the cinematic achievements of film industry. Winners are awarded the golden statue, officially the ARY Film Award of Merit, that is much often known as an AFA trophy. The awards, first presented in 2014 at Golf Club, Karachi, are overseen and organized by ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel. ARY Film Awards became an electoral race to the trophy to best film in any category, as per being the first awarding ceremony of reboot era of Pakistani Film Industry. ARY Film Awards are the first film awarding ceremony after the demolishing of Pakistani oldest awarding ceremony Nigar Awards.
The 1st ARY Film Awards or AFA'14 ceremony, presented by ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel, sponsored by Nokia, powered by ZONG and L'Oréal and took place on April 27, 2014 at the Golf Club, DHA Phase VIII, Karachi. The ceremony was held recorded and televised on May 24, 2014. During the ceremony ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel presented ARY Film Awards in 29 categories and 4 special awards honoring the actors, technical achievements and films of 2013. The ceremony, televised in Pakistan by ARY Digital and was produced by ARY Digital Network chairman Salman Iqbal. ARY Film Awards became the most expensive event held in Pakistan.

He also wrote Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which was released on 2018 Eid al-Adha and broke the all time biggest box office grosses record.It also went on to become the First Pakistani film to make 700 Million rupees worldwide. Chaudhry is also known for hosting the comedy show, Mazaaq Raat, on Dunya News since 2015. His name is sometimes misspelled as Wasay, Wassay, Wesay or Vassay in print and electronic media.
The 3rd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2014 and took place on 9 April 2015, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai, UAE at 8:30 p.m. UAE Standard Time and was televised on 23 May at 7:30 p.m. PST. During the ceremony, HTNEC presented Hum Awards in 25 categories along with 3 in honorary and 2 in special categories. The ceremony, televised in Pakistan by Hum TV, was produced and directed by Nazeer Saeed Janjua while executive produced by Maimona Siddiqui.

Yasir M Jaswal is a Pakistani singer, writer, filmmaker, and award-winning music director. He was the lead singer for his band Irtaash. He was also the lead vocalist for the band Call. The ceremony was held recorded and televised on May 7, 2016. During the ceremony, the ARY Digital Network and Entertainment Channel presented ARY Film Awards in 28 categories. The ceremony was televised in the Pakistan by ARY Digital, and produced by Salma Iqbal and Jarjees Seja.
Babar Javed is a Pakistani television and film producer and director. He has produced and directed universally acclaimed series such as Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Mera Saaein, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Aasmanon Pay Likha, Bashar Momin, Adhoora Bandhan, and Mor Mahal, all under his production company A&B Entertainment that he co-founded with actor turned filmmaker Asif Raza Mir. Javed has earned eight Lux Style Awards as a director and producer. In 2016, he received his first ARY Film Award nomination for producing 2015 biopic film Manto.
