Association Sportive Port-Louis 2000 is a Mauritian professional football club based in the nation's capital Port Louis. AS Port-Louis 2000 plays in the Mauritian Premier League. They won their last title in 2016. The club was formed following the regionalisation of football in Mauritius by a merger between the Roche Bois-based Roche Bois Boys Scouts (RBBS)-St Martin United FC and Century Welfare Association of the Cite Martial suburb of Port-Louis.

The 1999 Mauritian riots were national-scale rioting and protests in Mauritius following the death of the popular "seggae" musician Joseph Réginald Topize, better known by his stage name "Kaya", in police custody. The rioting lasted for four days from 21 to 25 February 1999. Four civilians and one police officer were killed in the riots with hundreds of people suffering injuries. It was the first incidence of mass rioting in Mauritius since the country's 1968 riots. The riots resulted in a majority of the island's police stations being sacked by protesters with 250 prisoners escaping prison. Many businesses were looted and substantial property damage was done with over 200 vehicles being set on fire.

The 2018–19 Mauritian Premier League is the 39th season of the Mauritian Premier League, the top flight for football league in Mauritius. The league would be contested by the top eight teams from the 2017–18 season as well as the two clubs promoted from the National First Division, Vacoas-Phoenix and Rivière du Rempart. They replaced the two teams that were relegated to the National First Division, Entente Boulet Rouge-Riche Mare Rovers and Chebel Citizens SC

The Warriors have won league championships in 2020 and 2023 and has represented Mauritius in the Road to BAL twice.
