A Fallen Temple is the fourth full-length album by the Greek death metal band Septic Flesh. [1] In 2013, a reissue containing bonus tracks and new artwork was released. This was the first Septic Flesh release since 1991's "Temple of the Lost Race" to feature a human drummer.

It was recorded between July–September 2010 in Devasoundz (Greece) and The Abyss (Sweden) and produced by Peter Tägtgren. The orchestration was written by Christos Antoniou and recorded by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Upon release, The Great Mass received universal acclaim from critics. In 2021, it was elected by Metal Hammer as the 9th best symphonic metal album of all time.

Sotiris Lagonikas is a Greek musician, best known for his work as co-founder and drummer of the Greek classic rock group What's The Buzz?, as well as for his SL Theory music project, for which he has composed the music and written the lyrics while performing all instruments and vocals recorded on SL Theory's debut album which was released in 2010 under the title "SL Theory - I". Two years later, Lagonikas released his second solo album, under the title "Progressively Dark" and by the spring of 2013, along with longtime friend and What's The Buzz? co-founder and bassist Chris Kissadjekian released under the band name Double Treat their debut album "Wander Thirst" through Sleaszy Rider label.
