A P Singh was the Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He was accused of abusing his position in 2017. [1]
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the domestic crime investigating agency of India. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel,Public Grievances and Pensions. Originally set up to investigate bribery and governmental corruption,in 1965 it received expanded jurisdiction to investigate breaches of central laws enforceable by the Government of India,multi-state organised crime,multi-agency or international cases. The CBI has attracted numerous controversies and criticisms due to various reports of irregular practises,excessive political influence,and a poor conviction rate. CBI is exempted from the provisions of the Right to Information Act. CBI is India's officially designated single point of contact for liaison with the Interpol.

The commission had accused that he "very probably" had a hand in organising attacks on the Sikh community in Delhi after Sikh bodyguards assassinated the Prime Minister,Indira Gandhi,during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. He has not been charged with any crimes related to those riots.

The Barak Missile scandal was a case of alleged defence corruption relating to the purchase of Barak 1 Missile Systems by India from Israel. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigated the case and several people including the Samata Party ex-treasurer R. K. Jain were arrested. Others named in the First Information Report (FIR) included politicians George Fernandes,Jaya Jaitley,along with arms dealer and ex-naval officer Suresh Nanda,who is the son of retired Chief of the Naval Staff S.M. Nanda. The CBI investigated the case and filed a First Information Report (FIR) on 10 October 2006. On 24 December 2013,after investigating for more than seven years,the CBI decided to close the case as it did not find any evidence on the allegations.

The College Basketball Invitational (CBI) is a men's college basketball tournament created in 2007 by The Gazelle Group. The inaugural tournament occurred after the conclusion of the 2007–08 men's college basketball regular season. The CBI selects 16 teams that are not selected for the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament or the National Invitation Tournament (NIT),and who are willing to pay a $27,500 entry fee to participate. In the CBI,prior to 2020 teams competed on home courts. After the post-COVID pandemic revival,the tournament has been staged at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach,Florida. The CBI is a single-elimination tournament. Prior to 2020,the tournament was single elimination until the final two teams were determined,after which the championship was determined by a championship series with a best-two-out-of-three format. Since the tournament's 2021 revival and adoption of the single-site format,the championship is also determined by a single game. In 2023,the CBI introduced NIL funding of $40,000 to be distributed in the following manner:$25,000 to the Champion,$10,000 to the Runner-Up,and $2,500 to each Semifinalist.
The 2008 Noida double murder case refers to the unsolved murders of 13-year-old girl Aarushi Talwar and 45-year-old man Hemraj Banjade,a live-in domestic worker employed by her family. The two were killed on the night of 15–16 May 2008 at Aarushi's home in Noida,India. The case aroused public interest as a whodunit story. Nambi Narayanan(born 12 December 1941) is an Indian aerospace scientist who worked for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and contributed significantly to the Indian space program by developing the Vikas rocket engine. He led the team which acquired technology from the French for the Vikas engine used in the first Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) that India launched. As a senior official at the ISRO,he was in charge of the cryogenics division. .If he was not wrongly arrested then Indian space program would be much ahead than present as he is the founder of cryogenics technology which propels the recent Chandrayaan missions. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan,India's third-highest civilian award,in March 2019.
Dharamnath Prasad Kohli was the founder Director of the CBI,India's Central Investigation Agency. He held office from 1 April 1963 to 31 May 1968. Before this,he was Inspector-General of Police of the Special Police Establishment from 1955 to 1963. Prior to that,he was police chief in Madhya Bharat and Uttar Pradesh states. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1967 for his distinguished services by Government of India.
The 2G spectrum case was a political controversy in which politicians and private officials of the United Progressive Alliance coalition government India were allegedly involved in selling or allotting 122 2G spectrum licenses on conditions that provided an advantage to specific telecom operators. A. Raja,then Telecom Minister,was accused of selling 2G spectrum licenses at a very low cost which resulted in the loss of ₹1,760 billion in government revenue. Raja was also accused of not following rules and regulations as well as not recognizing any advice from the Ministries of Finance and Law and Justice of India while allotting 2G spectrum licenses to telecom operators. Series of allegations were made on allotting 2G spectrum licenses including allegations from Central Bureau of Investigation after investigating the case alleging Raja for intentionally advancing the cut-off date to favour some specific firms,which were allegedly ineligible for applying for telecom licenses,in return for bribes.
SSC Scam is an alleged paper leak scandal which was first reported by sections of media in 2018. This alleged 'scam' was popularized when several students reported their assessment of a large scale paper leak,unfair assessment after normalisation and various other misgivings. The then SSC director rejected these assertions but CBI has arrested few people while the case continues.
