The 7-episode series, starring Sania Saeed, Salman Ahmad and Samina Ahmad in leading roles, ran from 1991 to 1992. Aahat focuses on the subject of family planning. [1]
The series revolves around a couple who have big dreams of a happy family, but each spouse also has personal aspirations. However, after their marriage, their life changes when they have to face problems due to having many children. The societal pressure to have a male child leads them to keep having more children. [2] [3]
According to Saeed, she was cast in the series due to her understanding towards the issue of unhealthy pregnancy and the pain of a woman facing this problem, not on the basis of her acting skills. [5] Saeed left her job of announcer at Network Television Marketing and joined the set of the series. [6]
An Arabic dubbed version of the series was broadcast in Saudia Arbaia. [7]
