Aakash Dahiya (born 20 September 1986) is a Mumbai-based actor and casting director, who is known for his work in Bollywood films. [1] [2]

Career

Born in New Delhi, Dahiya started acting in the New Delhi Theater. He then started working as associate casting director [3] with his friend Mukesh Chhabra in Mumbai. [4] [5]

His first role in Bollywood was as "Googly" in Chillar Party , [6] [7] directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Vikas Bahl. He also got some smaller roles in Rock Star (2011), Kaminey (2009) and Trishna (2011). [8] [9]

Later, in Nikhil Advani`s D-Day , he acted as "Aslam". The film got critical appreciation and so did his character. [10] [11] After that, Dahiya appeared in Mastram , [12] and Bobby Jasoos . [13] [14] He conducted an acting workshop for the movie Bobby Jasoos . [15] [16] [17] [18]

He acted as Amit [19] in [20] Zeishan Quadri's Meeruthiya Gangster . [21] [2] [22] [23] [24] [25] [26] In 2015 Aakash appeared in Anand L. Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns , in a short role as Deepak, [27] [28] but he got appreciation for his dazzling appearance. [29]

Mastram is 2014 Indian Hindi-language biographical film directed by Akhilesh Jaiswal, and starring Rahul bagga and Tara Alisha Berry. The film is about an aspiring litterateur turning into an initially reluctant finally full-fledged pornographic writer, is inspired by the anonymous author of popular pulp fiction and sex stories in Hindi, only known as Mastram. These books sold at railway station stalls and small roadside and pavement shops in North India through the 1980s and 90s. Jaiswal makes his directorial debut with the film. The film also marks the debut of actress Tara Alisha Berry. The film features rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh's Gujarati Single "Achko Machko" and is also the theme song of the movie's trailer which was released on 14 Feb 2014 by Bohra Bros on YouTube.

Krsna Solo is a music composer, singer-songwriter and a music producer from India, who debuted with the popular Hindi film "Tanu Weds Manu" in 2011. Among his awards are a Filmfare R.D. Burman Award, Stardust Award for Best New Music Director. His work also includes Jolly LLB, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Tamanchey, Oonga and more. One of his mentionable international score is for the documentary called India's Daughter by Leslee Udwin.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a 2015 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Aanand L. Rai, which is a sequel to the 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu. R. Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut, Jimmy Sheirgill, Deepak Dobriyal, Swara Bhaskar, and Eijaz Khan reprise their roles from the original film. Ranaut also portrays the additional role of a Haryanvi athlete in it. The story, screenplay and the dialogues were written by Himanshu Sharma. The soundtrack and film score were composed by Krsna Solo and the lyrics were penned by Rajshekhar. Saroj Khan and Bosco–Caesar were the film's choreographers while the editing was done by Hemal Kothari.

Meeruthiya Gangsters is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language crime-comedy film written and directed by Zeishan Quadri and produced by Gibran Noorani. The film score is composed by Vivek Kar and Siddhant Mishra. Meeruthiya Gangsters was released on 18 September 2015. It is inspired by the high number of extortion cases in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The film is based from the perspective of six youths who turn kidnappers. The first look poster was released on 29 July 2015, followed by the trailer on 10 August 2015.
