Aaron Kwok Fu-shing is a Hong Kong singer, dancer, actor and racing driver. Active since the 1980s, Kwok is known as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" of Hong Kong pop music. The Storm Warriors is a 2009 Hong Kong wuxia fantasy film produced and directed by the Pang brothers. It is the second live-action film adaptation of artist Ma Wing-shing's manhua series Fung Wan, following the 1998 film The Storm Riders. The Storm Warriors is based on Fung Wan's Japanese Invasion story arc The Death Battle. Ekin Cheng and Aaron Kwok respectively reprise their roles as Wind and Cloud, who this time find themselves up against Lord Godless, a ruthless Japanese warlord bent on invading China. The film is a co-production between Universe Entertainment and Sil-Metropole Organisation.

<i>The Monkey King 2</i> 2016 film

The Monkey King 2 is a 2016 Hong Kong-Chinese action fantasy film based on the classic 16th-century novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng'en. The film was shot in 3D and is a sequel to the 2014 box office hit The Monkey King with Cheang Pou-soi returning as director and Sammo Hung as action director, who replaces Donnie Yen's role from the previous installment. The film stars Aaron Kwok, who portrayed the main antagonist in the previous installment, as the film's titular protagonist, who also replaces Yen from the previous installment. It was released in the United States on 5 February, in Hong Kong on 6 February and in China on 8 February 2016. A sequel, The Monkey King 3, was released in China in 2018.

<i>Port of Call</i> (2015 film) 2015 Hong Kong film

Port of Call is a 2015 Hong Kong crime thriller film written, edited and directed by Philip Yung and starring Aaron Kwok as a veteran police detective who solving a murder mystery with unusual methods to prove his belief of virtue in human nature. The film is based on a real murder case where a dismembered corpse of a murdered 16-year-old female prostitute was found in Hong Kong in 2008. Port of Call was the closing film at the 39th Hong Kong International Film Festival on 6 April 2015. The film was theatrically released in Hong Kong on 3 December 2015. Port of Call won seven awards at the 35th Hong Kong Film Awards including acting awards Best Actor for Kwok, Best Actress for Jessie Li, Best Supporting Actress for Elaine Jin, Best Supporting Actor and Best New Performer, both for Michael Ning, as well as Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography, while also nominated for six other awards. The film also won many other awards and nominations at the Golden Horse Awards, Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards and Asian Film Awards. It was selected as the Hong Kong entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards but it was not nominated.

The Monkey King 3 is a 2018 Chinese fantasy film based on the classic novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng'en. The film is the third installment of the Monkey King franchise, after The Monkey King (2014) and The Monkey King 2 (2016). Directed and produced by Cheang Pou-soi, the film stars Aaron Kwok, Feng Shaofeng, Xiao Shenyang, Him Law and Zhao Liying. It was released on February 16, 2018, the first day of the Chinese New Year holiday period. It received mixed reviews from critics.

<i>Peace Breaker</i> (film) 2017 Chinese film

Peace Breaker is a 2017 Chinese action thriller film directed by Lien Yi-chi and written by David Lin and Johnny Yu, and starring Aaron Kwok, Wang Qianyuan, Liu Tao, Yu Ailei, Feng Jiayi, and Zheng Kai. It is a remake of Kim Seong-hun's A Hard Day. The film premiered in China on 17 August 2017.
