Aaron L. Woods is an American politician serving as a member of the Oregon State Senate for the 13th district. Elected in November 2022,he assumed office on January 9,2023.
Woods was raised in Chicago. [1] He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University. [2]
Woods served in the United States Army. From 1996 to 1999,he worked as a senior manager at Tektronix. From 2000 to 2009,he worked in multiple positions at Xerox. [3] Woods was elected to the Oregon State Senate in November 2022. [4]

The Oregon State Senate is the upper house of the statewide legislature for the US state of Oregon. Along with the lower chamber Oregon House of Representatives it makes up the Oregon Legislative Assembly. There are 30 members of the state Senate,representing 30 districts across the state,each with a population of 127,700. The state Senate meets in the east wing of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem.
Katherine Brown is an American politician and attorney who served as the 38th governor of Oregon from 2015 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party,she served three terms as the state representative from the 13th district of the Oregon House of Representatives from 1991 to 1997,three terms as the state senator from the 21st district of the Oregon Senate from 1997 to 2009,three terms as majority leader of the Oregon Senate from 2003 to 2009,and two terms as Oregon Secretary of State from 2009 to 2015. She assumed the governorship upon the resignation of John Kitzhaber in 2015. She was elected to serve out the remainder of his gubernatorial term in the special election in 2016 and was reelected to a full term in 2018.
