Deb Patterson is an American politician from the state of Oregon. A Democrat,she has been a member of the Oregon State Senate since January 2021.
Patterson has been an executive in the health care sector and for decades has been a local advocate in that field,served as a member of the Oregon Disabilities Commission and chaired the Marion County Health Advisory Board. She is a Congregational minister. [1]
In November 2018,Patterson ran against incumbent Republican state senator Jackie Winters and lost. [2] Winters died in office. [3] On November 3,2020,Patterson defeated incumbent Republican appointee Denyc Boles by 576 votes in a special general election to fill the remaining two years of Winters' term, [4] although the results of the election were so close,they not certified until weeks after the election. Dennis Michael Richardson was an American attorney,businessman,and politician who served as the 26th Secretary of State of Oregon from 2017 until his death in 2019. Richardson was from Central Point,Oregon and served six terms in the Oregon House of Representatives as a member of the Republican Party. He represented House District 4,which included portions of Jackson and Josephine counties,and was the Republican nominee for Governor of Oregon in the 2014 election,losing to incumbent Democrat John Kitzhaber.
Jackie Winters was an American Republican politician in the U.S. state of Oregon. She served as a state senator,representing the 10th district in Salem. She was Senate Minority Leader. She died of lung cancer on May 29,2019.

Gustavus Charles Moser was an American attorney and state legislator from Portland,Oregon. He served twenty years in the Oregon State Senate from 1913 through 1932. Moser was a conservative Republican who represented Multnomah County in the state senate. He was President of the Oregon State Senate twice. The first time was during the 1917–1918 legislative term and then again during the 1925–1926 term. He also served as acting governor for a week in 1926. Moser was a successful attorney who practiced law from 1894 until his death in 1937. As a young lawyer,he served as Multnomah County's deputy district attorney. In that position,he argued several cases before the Oregon Supreme Court. Later,he was appointed chief legal counsel for the Port of Portland.
