Abar Ekla Cholo is a 2016 Bengali television movie directed by Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy. [1] It is the sequel to 2015 film Ekla Cholo . The movie features Saayoni Ghosh and June Malia in the main roles. The film was jointly produced by Zee Bangla Cinema, Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy for Zee Bangla Originals.

Paoli Dam Indian actress

Paoli Dam is an Indian actress who started her career with the Bengali television serial Jibon Niye Khela (2003). She then worked in Bengali television serials such as Tithir Atithi and Sonar Harin; the former ran for six years on ETV Bangla. Dam spent her childhood in Kolkata, earning a postgraduate degree in chemistry from Rajabazar Science College. Initially, she wanted to become a chemical researcher or a pilot. Her debut Bengali film—Teen Yaari Katha, directed by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha—began in 2004, but was not released until 2012. Dam's first film release was Agnipariksha, directed by Ravi Kinagi. Between 2006 and 2009, she appeared in five Bengali films, coming into prominence with the 2009 Kaalbela, directed by Goutam Ghose.

Baishey Srabon is a 2011 Indian Bengali Film Noir psychological thriller film directed by Srijit Mukherji. it was his second film. The cast consists of Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Abir Chatterjee and director Gautam Ghose, making a comeback after a 29-year absence. The film centers on two journalists and two police officers chasing a vengeful psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics, and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011. The film received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification for explicit violence and adult language. This film brought back the Thriller genre to Bengali Cinema after a long time. The core plot of the movie is loosely based on the 1995 crime-thriller Seven and 2008 drama-thriller Righteous Kill. A sequel of the film was released on 23 January 2020, titled Dwitiyo Purush directed by Srijit Mukherji with Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Abir Chatterjee and Raima Sen reprising their roles.

Anjana Basu is a Bengali Indian actress and BJP politician based in Kolkata. She started her acting career with modelling, and gradually with a serial "Robir Aloy" which aired on Alpha Bangla, she came into the limelight. The year was 2003. In 2005, she was a part of a horror film, Raat Barota Panch, after which she didn't have to look back. She has appeared in Aniket Chattopadhyay's Chha-e Chhuti and Bye Bye Bangkok. Koushik Roy is an Indian television and film actor. Roy is best known for playing the lead antagonist, Krishnendu Sengupta, in Bojhena Se Bojhena. He has also played the lead role in Onnyo Bwosonto and a supporting role in Ekla Cholo.

Saayoni Ghosh Indian actress, singer, politician (born 1993)

Saayoni Ghosh is an Indian Bengali film and television actress. She is also a singer and a politician. Her acting debut was with a telefilm Ichhe Dana, and her first appearance on the big screen was with a short role in the film Notobor Notout. She then shared the screen with some veteran actors in Raj Chakraborty's Shotru, and later played a carefree journalist role in Raj Chakraborty's daily serial Proloy Asche. She has played lead roles in the films Kanamachi, Antaraal, Ekla Cholo, Amar sahor, Bitnoon, Mayer Biye, Rajkahini. She came into limelight in January 2021 after an FIR was lodged against her by Tathagata Roy for hurting Hindu sentiments. In March 2021, she was announced to be All India Trinamool Congress’s candidate for the Asansol Dakshin constituency in the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. But, she was defeated by BJP's candidate Agnimitra Paul.

Ekla Cholo is a Bengali television movie directed by Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy. The movie features Saayoni Ghosh and June Malia in the main roles. The film was jointly produced by Zee Bangla Cinema and Prosenjit Chatterjee. In 2014, Zeke Bangle Cinema and Proserpine Chatterjee agreed to jointly produce movies to be shown directly on TV. Ekla Cholo was the first attempt by the partnership, and the film enjoyed widespread popularity and received 21a score of in Target Rating Point.

Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival (HBFF) is a Bengali film festival in the city of Hyderabad and is being organized annually since 2014. The venue of the festival is the Prasad Film Preview Labs, Hyderabad. The first edition of the film festival was held in the year 2014. It is the only curated Bengali film festival in India.

Goyenda Ginni was an Indian Bengali crime drama anthology television series that premiered on 7 September 2015 to 25 December 2016 and aired on Zee Bangla. The story revolves around Niladri, his wife Suchismita, their son Rayan, their neighbour Kaushik and Suchismita's sister Nibedita. The film was one of the Zee Bangla films released on television.

Robi Thakurer Golpo was a series of adaptations of Rabindranath Tagore's stories directed by Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy, which was aired on Colors Bangla. The series was launched on 19 November 2015 and ended on 2 April 2016. The first stories are shown in three episodes each. Some of the longer stories are shown in up to nine episodes. The series covered 13 stories in 59 episodes, each episode duration being 45 minutes.

Somraj Maity is an Indian actor who works in Bengali film and television industry. He is known for his portrayal as Abir in the TV serial Ei Chheleta Bhelbheleta, a romantic drama show which aired on Zee Bangla. He has also appeared in Piya Re, a romance drama film directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee.
