Ekla Cholo is a 2015 Bengali television movie directed by Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy. The movie features Saayoni Ghosh and June Malia in the main roles. The film was jointly produced by Zee Bangla Cinema and Prosenjit Chatterjee. In 2014, Zeke Bangle Cinema and Proserpine Chatterjee agreed to jointly produce movies to be shown directly on TV. [1] Ekla Cholo was the first attempt by the partnership, and the film enjoyed widespread popularity and received 21a score of in Target Rating Point. [2] [3]

Plot

Ekla Cholo is a romantic comedy about a woman who wants to become a single mother. Betrayed and disappointed by her last boyfriend and inspired by her mother, she wishes to raise a child without a man in her life. She is faced with many challenges. That is when Riya meets Rupam.

He is the son of veteran Bollywood actor Biswajit Chatterjee. He began his acting career as a child actor in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Chotto Jigyasa, for which he won the Bengal Film Journalists' Association – Most Outstanding Work of the Year Award. Following this he appeared in other films as a child actor. But unable to concentrate on his studies, Prosenjit took a break from acting and returned after completing his graduation from Xavier's University and his first leading role came through Bimal Roy's Duti Pata.

Debashree Roy also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. As an actress, she is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She has been cited as the reigning queen of Bengali commercial cinema. She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. As a dancer, she is known for her stage adaptations of the various forms of Indian folk dances as well as her innovative dance forms imbued with elements from Indian classical, tribal and folk dance. She runs Natraj dance troupe. She is the founder of Debasree Roy Foundation, a non-profit organisation that works for the cause of stray animals. Roy was a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Raidighi constituency since 2011 till 2021.

Baishey Srabon is a 2011 Indian Bengali neo-noir psychological thriller film directed by Srijit Mukherji. It was his second film. The cast consists of Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Abir Chatterjee and director Gautam Ghose, making a comeback after a 29-year absence. The film centers on two journalists and two police officers chasing a vengeful psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics, and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011. The film received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification for explicit violence and adult language. This film brought back the Thriller genre to Bengali Cinema after a long time. The core plot of the movie is loosely based on the 1995 crime-thriller Seven and 2008 drama-thriller Righteous Kill. A sequel of the film was released on 23 January 2020, titled Dwitiyo Purush directed by Srijit Mukherji with Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Abir Chatterjee and Raima Sen reprising their roles.

is a 2014 Indian Bengali musical drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta and Swastika Mukherjee. The main focus of the plot revolves around the life and notable works of Anthony Firingee, a 19th-century Bengali language folk poet of Portuguese origin, along with other supporting characters. The time frame of the storyline jumps between two different time periods—19th century and the present day (2013). The music of Jaatiswar is composed by Kabir Suman.

Saayoni Ghosh is an Indian Bengali film and television actress. She is also a singer and a politician. She then shared the screen with some veteran actors in Raj Chakraborty's Shotru, and later played a carefree journalist role in Raj Chakraborty's daily serial Proloy Asche. She has played lead roles in the films Kanamachi, Antaraal, Ekla Cholo, Amar sahor, Bitnoon, Mayer Biye, Rajkahini. She came into limelight in politics in January 2021 after an irrelevant FIR was lodged against her by Tathagata Roy for hurting Hindu sentiments. Pandab Goenda is an Indian Bengali-language television detective series that premiered on 7 September 2020, and aired on Zee Bangla. The show based on the story of Pandab Goenda, starred Rob Dey, Rishav Chakraborty, Mayukh Chatterjee, Anumita Dutta and Shritama Mitra.

Atanka is a 1986 Bengali crime drama film directed by Tapan Sinha. The film stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Satabdi Roy in her debut film. The film was known for its dark-tone and outstanding performances of the cast. The film ran for around 90 consecutive days at Mitra cinemas, west Bengal. The film was both critically and commercially successful and won 7 awards, and got an official entry at the Indian Panorama Section.
