The Abbey Christian School was a school set up to teach English as a foreign language to prospective Christian missionaries. It was based in the extensive premises of Abbey Road Baptist Church in London, England and ran for forty years, from 1962 to 2002.
The school was set up by Pastor LR Barnard of Abbey Road Baptist Church. From small beginnings it grew until it was taking in 60 to 70 students each term from countries all around the world. It closed on 14 June 2002.

A team from Oxford excavated Notley Abbey in 1937, establishing a layout and timeline of the building's construction. The building has been visited by notable figures such as Henry V, and was owned by the celebrities Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. Today, the remnants of the abbey are owned by the company Bijou Wedding Venues and are used to host weddings.

Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church is a congregation of the Christian Reformed Church in North America located on the southern edge of Elmhurst, Illinois. It was founded in 1924 as a Baptist mission in Bellwood. The founder was a woman who had converted to Christianity after a difficult life in which she was won by her husband in a card game. After moving to Elmhurst in 1964, the congregation flourished and constructed a large new building just off of Roosevelt Road. It remains one of the largest congregations in the Christian Reformed denomination and runs many programs for children, students, adults, and seniors.
