Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdi Hashi (Somali :Cabdiraxmaan Maxamed Cabdi Xaashi,is a Somali politician,former minister of fisheries and marine resources in the Federal Government of Somalia. [2] Hashi is the son of co-founder and the former president of Puntland Mohamed Abdi Hashi. [3] [4]
Hashi is an economist by profession,and a financial expert with nearly thirty years of experience working in Wall Street and the World Bank. Dr. Abdirahman was a candidate for the president of Somalia in 2012. He has two master's degrees from Johns Hopkins University and attended George Mason University and received his PhD in economics. Mohamed Omar Eymoy is a Somali politician. He is the former Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of Somalia,having been appointed to the position on 12 January 2015 by the former Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke. However,he only served 2 weeks when on 17 January 2015,Prime Minister Sharmarke dissolved his newly nominated cabinet due to vehement opposition by legislators,who rejected the reappointment of certain former ministers. On 27 January 2015,Sharmarke appointed a new,smaller 20 minister cabinet of which Mohamed Omar Eymoy was replaced by Mohamed Omar Arte. On 6 February,Sharmarke finalized his cabinet,consisting of 26 ministers,14 state ministers,and 26 deputy ministers of which Mohamed Omar Eymoy was reinstated but was now the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources. He has now been succeeded by Abdirahman Mohamed Abdi Hashi.
Eng. Mohamed Isse Ali,also known as Col. Mohamed Isse Ganaje,is a Somali engineer,Navy commander,and politician. Lacle has extensive experience in naval warfare,electricity and mechanics,politics and diplomacy. He has taught subjects in naval warfare and engineering in the Technical Maritime Intermediate School of the National Somali Navy and served as director from 1981 to 1982. He served in the Somali Navy from 1975 to 1991 and held several commanding positions at his time before the Somali Civil War broke. He holds the rank of naval captain.
