Abdolhossein Mokhtabad (Persian : سید عبدالحسین مختاباد, born 21 March 1966) is an Iranian singer and composer of Persian traditional music. He is a Gold Medal Winner of Global Music Awards in 2020 and Silver Medal Winner in 2022. [1]
Mokhtabad's works are in the classical Persian style of Radif. He is also a player of the santur, setar, tonbak, and piano. After performing several concerts in Iran, and in countries abroad such as Greece, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Austria, Malaysia, Algeria, Oman, Canada, and the United States, he produced a variety of albums. Mokhtabad left Iran in 1998 to study Western classical music. After two years of studying for his B.A. at the University Of Ottawa in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, he later went on to pursue his M.A. and doctorate degrees at Goldsmiths, University of London. Mokhtabad completed his Ph.D. in Western Composition and Ethnomusicology under Professor Stanley Glasser and Professor John Baily at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2008. [2]

The music of Iran encompasses music that is produced by Iranian artists. In addition to the traditional folk and classical genres, it also includes pop and internationally celebrated styles such as jazz, rock, and hip hop.
Loris Haykasi Tjeknavorian is an Iranian Armenian composer and conductor. He has appeared internationally as a conductor, serving as the principal conductor of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra from 1989 to 1998 and later from 1999 to 2000. As a composer Tjeknavorian has written 6 operas, 5 symphonies, choral works, chamber music, ballet music, piano and vocal works, concerti for piano, violin, guitar, cello and pipa, as well as music for documentary and feature films. Among his best known works are the opera Rostam and Sohrab, based on the story of Rostam and Sohrab from Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, and the ballet Simorgh.
Homayoun Shajarian is an Iranian singer. Homayoun is the son of Iranian singer Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, He learned singing from his father and started his musical career in the 1990s.
