The Abia State Ministry of Education is a governing body of the Abia State Government responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies relating to education in Abia State. [1] On 31 October 2012, it was reported in the media that over one hundred illegal schools used for examination malpractices were shut down by the Abia State Government through the Ministry of Education. [2]
Akwa Ibom State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. It borders Cross River State to the east, Rivers State and Abia State to the west and north-west, and to the south by the Atlantic Ocean. The state takes its name from the Qua Iboe River which bisects the state before flowing into the Bight of Bonny. Akwa Ibom was split from Cross River State in 1987 with her capital Uyo and with 31 local government areas.

Abia State is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The state is bordered to the northwest by Anambra State and to the northeast by the states of Enugu and Ebonyi, Imo State to the west, Cross River State to the east, Akwa Ibom State to the southeast, and Rivers State to the south. Oyigbo also known as Obigbo is a Local Government Area located in Rivers State, Nigeria. It is a town, 30 kilometers from the Port city of Port Harcourt, 25km from the city of Aba. It's predominantly inhabited by the Asa people an indigenous Igbo people who are also found in Ukwa west L.G.A in Abia state and the Ndoki people who are also found in Ukwa East L.G.A of Abia state and Ukanafun L.G.A of Akwa ibom state
Rhema University, Aba (RU) is an accredited private, Christian university based in the city of Aba in Abia State, Nigeria. Founded by the Living Word Ministries International and licensed by the National Universities Commission in 2009 is one of the few private universities in Abia State. The university is currently operating from its take-off campus located at 153/155 Aba-Owerri Road, Aba in Abia State, with plans to develop and migrate its students and faculty to the permanent campus.
Eric Iheanacho "Acho" Nwakanma is a Nigerian politician, businessman and philanthropist who served twice as the deputy governor of Abia State from 2006 to 2007 and from 2010 to 2011.
