Abraham Ayittey (born 22 October 1999) [1] is a badminton player from Ghana. [2] [3] He was born in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western region of Ghana.
In the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Abraham Ayittey competed in three disciplines, representing his federation as a versatile badminton player. In the preliminary round, he contributed to the team's second-place finish within the group. He achieved a 17th-place finish in mixed events and secured the 33rd position in singles. [4] In 2014, he participated in the Summer Youth Olympic Games and the Lagos International. In 2017, he secured victory at Ivory Coast Juniors. [5]
In November 2013, he participated in the Morocco International (Under-18) Badminton championship. [6] This tournament was of the Junior Internationals in Africa that would be use as a qualifier for the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics.
Taufik Hidayat is an Indonesian retired badminton player. He is a former World, Olympic, two time Asian Games, and three time Asian champion, and the youngest world number one in the men's singles. Hidayat has won the Indonesia Open six times. He is considered to be one of the greats men's single players in badminton history and has earned the nickname "Mr. Backhand".

Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq was the first badminton player the Maldives entered into the Olympic tournament since the 2012 London Olympics. For the first time, in an effort to promote gender equality, two flagbearers, one male and one female were allowed at the Olympics. Nabaaha and Mubal lead the Maldivian squad as the flagbearers in the opening ceremony. The Maldives, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.
