Abutia-Kpota is a farming community located at South-Western part of Ho, the capital town of Volta Region, Ghana. [1] Abutia Kpota is one of the towns within the Ho West Parliamentary Constituency. The town is near the Kalapa Re-source Reserve.

Abutia Kpota is one of the numerous settler towns in the Abutia Traditional Area. The people of Abutia belong to the Eʋedome group of the Eʋes. Abutia has 3 ain traditional towns which are Abutia Kloe, Abutia Agove and Abutia Teti. The Paramount Chief of Abutia is from Abutia Teti with divisional Chiefs from Abutia Kloe and Abutia Agove. All Chiefs in the Abutia Paramountcy pays allegiance to the Paramount Chief called Togbega Abutia Kodzo Gidi IV. The majority of them are Christians, whilst a few are traditionalist. in the past, there were some Muslims too, but for now, they have dissolved into the ewe tribe.
There is Evangelical Presbyterian School comprising Kindergarten, Primary and J.H.S. The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is annually staged at a nearby town, Abutia-Kloe. Performance of the outgoing students have not been encouraging over the years until recently one graduating class recorded 100% overall pass mark (i.e. The cohort qualify for admission into S.H.S.) in the BECE.
The community produces cassava, maize, rice and vegetables such as okra. The Abutia Kpota farms [2] which is an initiative of the National Service Scheme mainly deals in maize plantation.
East Mamprusi Municipal Assembly is one of the six districts in North East Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as East Mamprusi District, which was created from the former Mamprusi District Council, until the eastern part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 19 August 2004 to create Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District; thus the remaining part has been retained as East Mamprusi District. However on 15 March 2018, it was elevated to municipal district assembly status to become East Mamprusi Municipal District. The municipality is located in the eastern part of North East Region and has Gambaga as its capital town.
Akropong is a town in South Ghana and is the capital of the Akuapim North District, a district in the Eastern Region of South Ghana. This town is known for producing snails and palm oil. Akropong has a 2013 settlement population of 13,785 people.
In many parts of West Africa, there is an old chieftaincy tradition, and the Akan people have developed their own hierarchy, which exists alongside the democratic structure of the country. The Akan word for the ruler or one of his various courtiers is "Nana". In colonial times, Europeans translated it as "chief", but that is not an exact equivalent. Other sources speak of "kings", which is also not entirely correct, especially in the case of the said courtiers. The term "chief" has become common even among modern Ghanaians, though it would be more correct to use the expression "Nana" without translation wherever possible.

Tanyigbe is a town in the Ho municipality of the Volta Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Tanyigbe Secondary School, a well known second cycle institution in the town. Also endowed with a section of the Kabakaba Hills, which continues to be one of the best known tourist centres that provides pure and tasty drinking water. This water source has served the entire Ho Township more than 100 years even during previous periods of drought.
Anyako is a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. It is bordered at the south by the Keta lagoon. The inhabitants of the town mainly belong to the Ewe tribe. Tracing its establishment to a settlement founded by the Anlos during the migration from Notsie in present-day Togo. Historically the town is the birthplace of The great Ewe poet Hesinor Vinorko Akpalu Akpa., the renown traditional music composer, who was well-known all over the land for his rich repertoire and gift in traditional composition. Charles Kobla Nutornutsi Wovenu, The founder, Apostles’ Revelation Society (ARS) also hailed from Anyako. Kobla Ladzekpo, the founder and director of Zadonu African Music and Dance Company in U.S.A. and Artist El Anatsui. The town has experienced little to no growth over the past thirty years due to sea erosion which affected commercial activities.
Banda Ahenkro is a town located in the west-northern of Bono region, Ghana, near the border of Ivory Coast. Its geography provided a home for numerous groups seeking shelter from across West Africa during the slave trade era. The original name of the settlement was Serminakuu meaning groups of 'grasses'. This name was changed to Banda, which is a corruption of 'Woanda' meaning 'they did not sleep'. Ancestors of Banda Ahenkro were allies of the Asante kingdom during wars and they provided a military force that virtually refused to sleep during at-war times. This is because they were predominantly Muslims and were found praying throughout the night. Later, 'woanda' was also corrupted by the Bono neighbours to become Banda. The settlement evolved to become the chief town or 'Ahenkro' within a collection of Nafana communities.
The Nanumba people are an ethnic group whose traditional homeland is in the southeast of the Northern Region of Ghana. They speak Nanugli, a Gur language.

Wulugu Naaba Professor John Nabila Sebiyam is a Ghanaian, politician, geographer and academia. He is the Paramount Chief of the Kpasenkpe traditional area in the North East Region of Ghana. He served as the president of the National House of Chiefs from 2008 to 2016. He was a member of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation board. He was the Minister for Information and Tourism in the Limann government.He later became the Minister of Special Duties during Limann government
Ho West District is one of the eighteen districts in Volta Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Ho District on 10 March 1989, until the western part was split off to create Ho West District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part was elevated to municipal district assembly status on that same year to become Ho Municipal District. The district assembly is located in the central part of Volta Region and has Dzolokpuita as its capital town.
