Part of this database is derived from Current Contents records. Furthermore, the print counterpart is Current Contents.

A bibliographic database is a database of bibliographic records, an organized digital collection of references to published literature, including journal and newspaper articles, conference proceedings, reports, government and legal publications, patents, books, etc. In contrast to library catalogue entries, a large proportion of the bibliographic records in bibliographic databases describe articles, conference papers, etc., rather than complete monographs, and they generally contain very rich subject descriptions in the form of keywords, subject classification terms, or abstracts.
Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale, commonly known by its acronym RILM, is a nonprofit organization that offers digital collections and advanced tools for locating research on all topics related to music. Its mission is "to make this knowledge accessible to research and performance communities worldwide….to include the music scholarship of all countries, in all languages, and across all disciplinary and cultural boundaries, thereby fostering research in the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences." The company produced numerous bibliographic databases in different fields of the arts and humanities, natural and social sciences, and technology. Thus, coverage included materials science, environmental sciences and pollution management, biological sciences, aquatic sciences and fisheries, biotechnology, engineering, computer science, sociology, linguistics, and other areas.
Inspec is a major indexing database of scientific and technical literature, published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and formerly by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), one of the IET's forerunners.
Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica (ABBS) is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal, which publishes original research articles, short communications, and reviews in the fields of biochemistry and biophysics. EMBiology is a bibliographic database established in June 2005, and produced by Elsevier. EMBiology focuses on indexing the literature in the life sciences in general. Coverage includes science in the laboratory and science in the field. It is designed to be smaller than EMBASE, with abstracting and indexing for 1,800 journals not covered by the larger database. However, there is some overlap. Hence, EMBiology is specifically designed for academic institutions that range from small to mid-size and all biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
FLUIDEX is an online bibliographic database that covers fluids behavior, applications, and engineering in civil engineering and process engineering. It is published by Elsevier.
