Acer Extensa series is an affordable line of Acer laptops designed for office and business users. Its competitors include the Dell Vostro, and HP ProBook lines and low-end Lenovo ThinkPad laptops. [1] The Extensa series includes several notebooks with different design, performance and functionality. The Extensa name had been used by Texas Instruments, which sold its mobile computing division to Acer in 1997.

The Inspiron is a line of consumer-oriented laptop computers, desktop computers and all-in-one computers sold by Dell. The Inspiron range mainly competes against Acer's Aspire; Asus's Transformer Book Flip, VivoBook and Zenbook; HP's Pavilion, Stream, and ENVY; Lenovo's IdeaPad; Samsung's Sens; and Toshiba's Satellite.
ExpressCard, initially called NEWCARD, is an interface to connect peripheral devices to a computer, usually a laptop computer. The ExpressCard technical standard specifies the design of slots built into the computer and of expansion cards to insert in the slots. The cards contain electronic circuits and sometimes connectors for external devices. The ExpressCard standard replaces the PC Card standards.
The Dell Latitude series is a line of laptop computers manufactured and sold by American company Dell. It is a business-oriented line, aimed at corporate enterprises, healthcare, government, and education markets; unlike the Inspiron series, which is aimed at individual customers, and the Vostro series, which is aimed at smaller businesses. The Latitude directly competes with the Lenovo ThinkPad and the EliteBook series by HP. Additionally, the "Rugged (Extreme)", "XFR" and "ATG" models compete primarily with Panasonic's Toughbook line of "rugged" laptops.
A Mobile PCI Express Module (MXM) is an interconnect standard for GPUs (MXM Graphics Modules) in laptops using PCI Express created by MXM-SIG. The goal was to create a non-proprietary, industry standard socket, so one could easily upgrade the graphics processor in a laptop, without having to buy a whole new system or relying on proprietary vendor upgrades.
The Qosmio series was Toshiba's consumer-marketed line of high performance desktop replacement laptops. The laptop was first released on July 25, 2004 as the E15-AV101 with a 1.7 GHz Intel Pentium M CPU, 512 megabytes of DDR SDRAM, and a 15-inch XGA 1,024 by 768 screen. Toshiba's most powerful laptop has undergone many revisions, with focus shifting from high-end multimedia functionality to heavy gaming. The current line, the X70 series, was released in 2013, featuring an Intel Core i7 processor with up to 32 gigabytes of DDR3 SDRAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M as well as a 17.3-inch Full HD display.

HP EliteBook is a line of business-oriented high-end notebooks and mobile workstations made by Hewlett-Packard. The EliteBook series, which fits above the lower-end ProBook series, was introduced in August 2008 as a replacement of the HP Compaq high end line of notebooks. The EliteBook brand included mobile workstations until September 2013, when they were rebranded as HP ZBook. The EliteBook mainly competes against computer lineups such as Acer's TravelMate, Dell's Latitude and Precision, Lenovo's ThinkPad and Toshiba's Portégé and Tecra.

The Acer Aspire 8920 is a series of notebooks released in 2008 Q1 by Acer Inc. and it was a part of the Gemstone series. It is the first 18.4" screen notebook created by Acer, and it is part of the Desktop replacement computer category. The laptop has a 16:9 display with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080. It was often described as the flagship of Acer Aspire models until it was surpassed by other 8900s series Desktop replacement computer laptop, such as the Acer Aspire 8930G, 8940 and 8942.
The ThinkPad P series line of laptops is produced by Lenovo and was introduced by the company as a successor to the previous ThinkPad W series.
