Acer Gemstone series is multimedia/gaming laptop range from Acer. Acer Gemstone Blue series includes features such as Blu-ray optical device, DDR3 memory module etc.

This series consist of mainly four notebook models.

Other variations of these models exist such as the 8930.

Samsung Sens is the notebook computer series made by Samsung Electronics. The Satellite was a line of laptops manufactured by Toshiba's computer subsidiary now known as Dynabook Inc. Models in the Satellite family varied greatly—from entry-level models sold to consumers at major retailers to full-fledged business laptops sold through enterprise channels. The latter were marketed as the Satellite Pro.

Acer TravelMate

TravelMate is a line of business-oriented laptop computers manufactured by Acer. Of the various notebook series Acer has offered, the TravelMate is designated as a lightweight business and professional computer built to withstand day-to-day activities. Travelmate laptops are well received by reviewers, often, however, they are faulted for a lack of visual appeal. The TravelMate name was previously used by Texas Instruments, which sold its mobile computing division to Acer in 1997. The TravelMate mainly competes against business computers such as Dell's Latitude, HP's EliteBook and ProBook, Lenovo's ThinkPad and Toshiba's Portégé.

The Extensa name had been used by Texas Instruments, which sold its mobile computing division to Acer in 1997.

HP EliteBook Line of high-end laptops from HP

HP EliteBook is a line of business-oriented high-end notebooks and mobile workstations made by Hewlett-Packard. The EliteBook series, which fits above the lower-end ProBook series, was introduced in August 2008 as a replacement of the HP Compaq high end line of notebooks. The EliteBook brand included mobile workstations until September 2013, when they were rebranded as HP ZBook. The EliteBook mainly competes against computer lineups such as Acer's TravelMate, Dell's Latitude and Precision, Lenovo's ThinkPad and Toshiba's Portégé and Tecra.

Acer Aspire 8920

The Acer Aspire 8920 is a series of notebooks released in 2008 Q1 by Acer Inc. and it was a part of the Gemstone series. It is the first 18.4" screen notebook created by Acer, and it is part of the Desktop replacement computer category. The laptop has a 16:9 display with a native resolution of 1920 x 1080. It was often described as the flagship of Acer Aspire models until it was surpassed by other 8900s series Desktop replacement computer laptop, such as the Acer Aspire 8930G, 8940 and 8942.
