Adam Fogg (born 27 January 1999) [1] is a British-Australian middle-distance runner, who competes primarily over 1500 metres, the mile and 3000 metres.

Career

In 2021, Fogg finished fourth at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships over the mile. [2] In 2023, he was sixth over 3000 metres at the British Indoor Athletics Championships, and won the Emsley Carr Mile in the outdoor season. [3] [4] In the latter event, he set a British Milers Club members' record for the mile. [5]

2024

On January 27, in a time of 3:53.55, Fogg won the Invitational Men's Mile at the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge meet in New York. This qualified Fogg for the NYRR Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games. [6]

On February 11, 2024, Fogg came in 4th place in the Wanamaker Mile, breaking 3:50 in a time of 3:49.62. [7] This time placed Fogg as 9th all-time for the indoor mile. [8]

Fogg runs a YouTube channel known as The FOGDOG Exclusive, documenting his life as a middle distance athlete. [9]

It has been featured in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1964 for women. On a standard outdoor running track, it is one lap around the track. Runners start in staggered positions and race in separate lanes for the entire course. He holds the American national records for the 5,000 (12:46.96) and 10,000 meters (26:33.84), both set in a 2022 breakthrough season outdoors, and the 3,000 meters (7:25.47) after a post-injury return late in the 2023 outdoor season. He placed fifth in the 10,000 meters at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and fourth at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. Fisher holds North American records in the 3000 meters, 5000 m and 10,000 m.

Eric Jenkins is a retired long-distance runner. In college, he ran for Northeastern University, before transferring to the University of Oregon after his junior year. At the University of Oregon, Jenkins was a two-time NCAA Champion, with victories in the 3000 metres and 5000 metres at the 2015 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. He began competing professionally for Nike in 2015 as part of the Nike Oregon Project. Jenkins retired from competition in 2023.

She represented her country at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, and the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
