Adam Greydon Reid is a Canadian actor, writer, producer and director.
Reid attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute's film program and won the 'Norman Jewison Filmmaker's Award' for his graduating short, Token for your Thoughts, which also won a 'Gold Plaque Award' at Chicago's Intercom: The International Communications Film & Video Competition.[ citation needed ] While directing commercials, music videos and shorts, Reid toured with the Canadian comedy troupe The Komic Kazes; this led his first film role, in the 1996 Kids in the Hall's feature, Brain Candy . In 2000, a 90-second theatrical spot for Toyota in which he stars as a pretentious and insecure commercial director, won a 'Gold Lion' at the Cannes International Advertising Festival. [2]
Reid appeared in films, M.O.W.s and television series, including Disney's My Date with the President's Daughter (1998), Lifetime's This Time Around (2003), CBC's The Newsroom ,[ citation needed ] Ham & Cheese (2004), The Buck Calder Experience (2006), Fox's Killer Instinct (2006), and USA's Psych (2010). As a voice actor, he has appeared in cartoons like What It's Like Being Alone (2006), Total Drama (2007) and 6Teen (2004-2010).
From 2002 to 2006, along with developing and directing kids shows like HBO Family's Ghost Trackers (2005-1007) and YTV's The Adrenaline Project (2007-2009), Reid ran a film mentorship program at the Toronto youth shelter Eva's Phoenix,. [3] The program produced two short films under Adam's direction, One Dollar One Day and Sheltered Life (2006).
In 2009, Reid completed his first documentary, Marion Woodman: Dancing in the Flames, which debuted in sold-out bookings at New York's Rubin Museum of Art and the Vancouver International Film Festival. [4] [5]
Reid returned to performance work in 2010, in the Hallmark Hall of Fame/CBS movie, "When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story", starring Winona Ryder as Lois Wilson, and Barry Pepper as Bill Wilson (Bill W.) Reid played Ebby Thacher, Bills best friend and drinking buddy, whose recovery from alcoholism inspired Bill to found Alcoholics Anonymous.
In 2019, Reid created the award-winning web series Hospital Show .

Hairspray is a 2007 musical romantic comedy film based on the 2002 Broadway musical of the same name, which in turn was based on John Waters's 1988 comedy film of the same name. Dustbin Baby is a BBC television film directed by Juliet May, based on Jacqueline Wilson's 2001 novel of the same name. It was first broadcast on BBC One on 21 December 2008. When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story is a 2010 American film that premiered on CBS on April 25, 2010. The film was produced by Terry Gould, directed by John Kent Harrison and written by William G. Borchert, who based the script on his 2005 novel of the same name.
The eighth season of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants, created by former marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg, originally aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from March 26, 2011, to December 6, 2012, and contained 26 half-hour episodes, with a miniseries titled SpongeBob's Runaway Roadtrip. The series chronicles the exploits and adventures of the title character and his various friends in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom. The season was executive produced by series creator Hillenburg and writer Paul Tibbitt, who also acted as the showrunner. In 2011, SpongeBob's Runaway Roadtrip, an anthology series consisting of five episodes from the season, was launched. The Season Had Been Confrimed in January 2010. The show itself received several recognitions, including the 2011 and 2012 Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite Cartoon. The series was also nominated in various international Kids' Choice Awards ceremonies for the same category. In 2012, it was reported that the show was receiving a decline in ratings. The Wall Street Journal pointed to a few possible problems: It could be too old, or it may be shown on TV too often. Another issue could be its licensing to Netflix, an on-demand Internet streaming media, the previous year. As a result, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced not to renew their existing deal with Viacom, owner of the SpongeBob trademark.
